Going to buy a backhoe for my TC25D. I have heard some say that I should consider brands other than New Holland??? Why? What are most NH owners (TC25/29) purchasing for backhoes - seems the 757C is the way to go. Can I get one used to save some $? How does everyone like the one you have? Any comments would be appreciated.

thx

What ever route you go make sure you get a sub frame mounted unit. We sell nh, woods, and bush hog for that unit. I would steer away from the bush hog. With the woods you get an independent hydraulic system with the PTO pump. The draw back with the woods is that you have to remove the lower links and anti sway bars with the back hoe installed which really is not hard it is just an extra step. The nh unit can be a pain to hook and unhook until you get the hang of it. The rhino is the same as the nh. Either one is a good choice. As far as finding a used one, that is a real crap shoot with the little hoes. Most the ones that we trade are beat pretty bad and need allot of work to get them nice and tight again instead of sloppy loose bushings due to lack of greasing. ....

CD I have a Rhino 75 which is the same as a NH 757. I got it for about $2000.00 less than the same NH. I find it very easy to put on and take off as well as use. Rhino makes the NH hoes so if you want a NH buy the Rhino and use the extra money for some other impliments. Good luck. ....
