I have a TC33D with 7308 loader which I love. I was clearing brush today and it loader will not dump, but will return. The control valve squeels like the loader is in a bind. It makes me think it's a return line. Raise, lower and return functions fine. I can force it with little effort by by putting the bucket against a tree and raising it. The front lines and hoses appear OK, but I wonder if I bent something underneith in the brush.

Your symptoms sound lots like a control valve that doesn't get the spool moved far enough or too far to be in the right position for full flow to the line. Check to see if perhaps a stick or something has got caught in the linkage from the control lever to the valve body, or a pin that has came out or something thats not letting the valve spool move properly. Other things could be a quick coupler with a broken or weak spring. Seems like if you kinked or mashed a line that the bucket would work hard in either direction. hope this helps. Frank. ....

I think I'd swap the bucket and lift lines and see if the problem moves to the lift. It likely wouldn't be the control valve in that case. If quick-connects are disconnected while there is pressure in the cylinder lines they can be difficult to reconnect without manually relieving the pressure.

Frank & Tom both mention good ideas. I too would try switching the lines and/or pulling the cover off the control valve to see if a branch or something is stuck in there. I have also seen a heavy stick "pop" a quick connector loose. The line usually does not come all the way out of the connector so at first glance it appears to be fully connected when in reality it is not.

First thing to always check is to see if all of quick disconnects are connected properly. Sometimes brush can grab one and almost disconnect it. It may look connected right and not be. ....

Hey, you guys fixed my loader! It was a quick disconnect that had popped loose, but looked connected until I took a closer look.
