A friend of mines neighbor bought a new subcompact 24 with a Loader and MMM. When it was delivered he asked the guy to show him how it remove and reattach both. Well being the dleiery guy had never done this on a Sub Compact he ended doing some damage to it when attempting to remount the FEL. So Back to the dealer it went. When trying to fix things, the dealer told the guy that a special frame needed to be fabricated for the FEL ( Kickstand ) as the engineering for the MMM and FEL were done in two different location and he may very well be the first person in the country to have both on one of these Sub Compacts, I have not seen it, but was told some how the Mounting frame for the FEL and MMM interfere with each other on the frame. My question here is has anyone else out there experience any problems with the SUbcompacts and having both a MMM and FEL. Just trying to help the guy out, becasue if this is going to become some king of Mcgyver fix he may not take delivery.

When I was shopping for tractors, I was told that I couldn't have both on a 24.I didn't really want a mmm anyway because I have one on the LGT 165, but I dont like closeing doors either.Ultimately I ended up with a 35,but on the 24 fel and mmm was not doable. ....

We have sold quite a few (more than 20) tz24 and tz 18 with mmm and fel with no problems. We actually sold the first 3 in the country. I don't know what might of happened but that dealer needs to properly train there drivers on the equipment it sells. ....

I took delivery of a tz24da recently with the fel and 60''mmm and though it wasn't the easiest task I was able to take the fel off with no problem. I just followed the owners manual instructions. There didn't seem to be any interference with the mmm. ....

I have a TC 24 with a 914A MMM (nice) and a Great Bend F.E.L. (piece of JUNK!).
They both work at the same time on the tractor with no problems.
I will say the Great Bend Loader is total crap.
Every single grease fitting was stripped, missing or broken.
Not user friendly.
If you can afford it, stay with the New Holland Brand name.
You do get what you pay for.
I paid for crap and received crap in return.
Good luck ....

I believe he was talking about the TZ not the larger TC. The TZ is the true subcompact. ....

I am thinking about a tz24 with a loader. Does this loader work well? Does it have the power to lift and move dirt? Is the longevity good with the New Holland equipment compared to the John Deere? ....

Peter,
I recently purchased a TZ24DA which now has 21 hours. It's an excellent mowing tractor, I got the 60" MMM and the HST. I do not have a FEL, so no help there. I did borrow a 5' box blade and played around with it in the garden. I didn't get the rippers. However, I was able to grade without a problem. The tractor handled the box blade very well, but I didn't load up the box blade to capacity and the soil was somewhat loose.
This tractor weighs only 1300 lbs and with the 60" mower you can add another 260 lbs. If your primary use is to mow this tractor is an excellent choice. If your primary use is to load and move material, I would suggest you look at the TC line, as these tractors are heavier and have more lifting capacity.
Hopes this helps. ....

I believe it has plenty of power as long as you have the proper ballast. ....
