Hi Gang,

I got a new price on a TC33D of $15,025, and a used TC40D with 450 hours for $11,500. I'm leaning towards the TC40D for the obvious reasons- More H.P., bigger frame size, etc. Whats everybody else think? By the way the used tractor is in excellent condition.

I suppose I should be happy for you that you can get a used TC40D for $11,500 but as an owner of TC40D with 150 hours I hope the one you are looking at is the only priced that cheap. It always depends on what side of the purhase you are on but I hope I don't experience that amount of depreciation on mine. Again, that sounds like a nice price and I would probably opt for the 40D over the 33D. You have to wonder what trade-in price they allowed the poor bastard who traded it in. ....

Given that: You have room for the TC40, you can haul it, it meets your needs as well as the smaller tractor, and it is in good shape, I'd go for the 40. I like my TC29, but if I didn't use it for finish mowing, I could use a bigger tractor. Does the TC40 have a mid-mount PTO? One of the medium size NH tractors doesn't. May not be important to you anyway.

Hello, I have a TC33D 4x4 with a FEL paid out the door $14,980. I felt the TC40D was a bit big for what I would use it for; that's why I went with the TC33D. The price that you have for A used TC40D is a very good find. Is it a 4x4 and does it have a FEL? I also would like to know before I would buy a tractor with 450 hours on it, how was it maintained. with only 150 hours to go before the main scheduled maintenance due. which would cost about $300.00 more for oil, filters ...etc. Is the price on the TC33D you have New, and is that the total price out the door on both.

Good luck with your tractor, one thing I do know is no matter what tractor you decide on you will love it.
