On my TC25d I noticed some fluid dripping. Slowly - but still can't stand any kind of leak. By cleaning and drying every area that I seen was wet - then running the unit and turning the wheel left to right - I finally found the source of the leak. On the right side below the fan - two hydraulic flexible hose lines meet a termination point through the frame then connect to rigid lines. The most forward one is leaking slowly. Tried to tighten it - next to impossible due to fan shroud and other engine parts but finally did. Still leaks. Thought I might have to pull radiator then realized I can disconnect the hard line. Remove thenut holding the adapter - then pull the entire hose assy away from the engine where I can work on it. It is amazing that I almost pulled the radiator. Thank goodness I slept on it. I suspect that the fitting is cracked - not sure. I will replace the fitting and use the sealing tape - reassemble it and check for leaks. If still leaking will replace hose too. Anyone seen this on TC product? Did it turn out to be poorly seated - threads not sealed or cracked adapter (flexible to hard line)? I realize that this connection may not require any sealing tape as it may be relying on a flared fitting for the seal.

I tend to use liquid sealer rather than tape, but with either it's a good idea to cover only the top third of threads on the male fitting. That area is where thread contact actually is made and where the fitting has to seal. On many fittings, tape or liquid applied over the entire length of threads can break off and enter the hydraulic oil.
Tough call about the leaks. I that every person has their own tolerance level to leaks. I'd temper the tolerance level with the notion that every time something is loosened and tightened, there's a chance of something breaking. Broken bolts fittings, crossed or stripped threads etc. can end up causing a lot of work and aggravation. More aggravation than just tolerating a minor leak. My loader valve assembly stays a bit wet. I figured I was going to fix it when I first got the tractor. Never got around to it though and now I accept it as normal. I suppose I'd get motivated to fix it if I started seeing small puddles on the ground.

I fixed it. What a project just to replace a hose! A 17mm stubby wrench - what a bummer to fit the stubby wrench in there. Actually had to remove the outer hose to get the inner one off. Since the hose does not have spinnable joint - to take it off and put it on you must be sure to remove and install the propert end first. Seriously. Take a look if you don't understand what I am talking about. This note is very important for anyone who may have to replace one of these hoses. If you try to disconnect the wrong end first - the hose will twist and kink while you try to loosen it. Gotta do this in the right order!
With 4 hours of operation and a large white piece of paper under the tractor - NOT A DROP :). ....

Good it's fixed. There probably is a special tool for it that a dealer mechanic would use to make the job easier. For the rest of us, special tools are just too expensive so we suffer through it. Dealers suffer by having to buy the special tools. There are some fairly generic sockets with slots along the side that might have been useful. Repair manuals are good things to have because the disassembly procedures usually specify special tools needed so at least you know if you’re going to be in for a knuckle banger.
There is a long discussion in the archives of similar aggravation. I think it also was a Kubota and involved a cooling system fitting. Probably felt good when that one was over too.

I will bet a donut to a cop's appetite the hydraulic fitting IS NOT leaking out the flared fitting. You can tighten and tape that fitting till the cows come home and it will STILL LEAK. KNOW WHY? Because it is not leaking at the flare it is leaking at the pressed-on ferrule fitting. That fitting has to be cut off and re-done with a hydraulic hose machine or the hose has to be completely replaced if it is too short after replacing the fitting. I have had to replace 4 hydraulic ends on my backhoe and NOT once was the leak at the pipe flare. The leak was where the hose was connected and crimped at the sleave. Call me obsessed , but I just WILL NOT tolerate oil leaks of any kind on any piece of my equipment. I hope I'm wrong but YOUR LEAK IS NOT FIXED YET EDDEY C.

yup had a leak there replaced hose and covered it with tubing too,hose was frayed from rubbing on frame when frt end(ss)pivotted. ....
