My farmpro 2425 wont start. Replaced the starter and it just makes a loud thump. The starter is engaging. Took starter off and used a pry bar to try and turn the flywheel it will only spin about 5 inches. Is the engine locked up? What's going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not good, sounds like a crankshaft rod bearing has lost it's cap. When you took the oil pan off what did you see? ....
