Hi I am new here and looking for some assistance.

I recently rebuilt a Ford 2000 that I bought at auction. Now that I have put so much time into it I have found the the block has a hairline crack, just below the exhaust manifold about six inches long and seeps anti-freeze when the engine runs after it warms up and the pressure builds. I have been looking at block sealers online and other coatings.

Am I just fooling myself, have you done this and it worked? What products did you use?

Thanks for any comments!

I was looking at Lock N Stitch. But I guess if that fails I could not do what Ironmanal suggests.

Ironman how long a crack did you have and how bad? ....

a totally shade tree repair is blue cheese silicone you will run with rad. cap loose at all times once done
clean block of rust, anti freeze seepage, and loose paint, with wire brush and the flammable brand brake clean and
then lay a heavy bead of the red hi heat silicone along crack past each end an inch or so, wet your fingers and smear & smooth down I ran a chevy 235 ci. iron block for 10 plus years that way with no problem
I have used the liquid glass for cracked heads from old school mechanics that taught me 40 years ago worked then works now flow instr. on container for this repair ....

do you have a good welder shop in town ? or a good machine shop talk with them and show them pics if you can to see if they can weld the block I have had an aluminum block welded up have been running it now for 18 years with no leak it cracked between 2 freeze plugs it's a 215 ci. alum. block buick motor if it is iron block they will use cast iron welding rods to do it ....
