Go Bottomsteering problem

I have a J/D Gator 621i That has a steering problem...when i make a sharp turn it seems the steering gets harder to handle and when you release the steering wheel it springs back like it was wound up. Anybody know what the problem is? It does not do it all the time. Sometimes when I put it in reverse and back a short distance it solves it.

Jay,
I have an 09 and any time I have used 4 wheel drive I always back up a few feet after switching back to 2 wheel drive otherwise the 4 wheeel drive will stay engaged. Hope this helps. ....

Thanks gatorpop, I think it's probably connected to the 4 wheel drive in some way...even though I don't switch to 2 wheel drive afterward. Like I said it does take away the stiff steering sometimes if I do back up. ....
