I'm trying to buy a new or rebuilt transmission for my 2001 4x2 John Deere Gator; I don't know how to determine which one will fit my unit. I came up with serial number mfrom the top of the transaxle (142936), but have no idea how to find my exact unit.

Part number is AM881316, The 6x4 and 4x2 transaxles are the same. New ones are 2000.00+ ....
