having replaced the cv boots on my 620i drive shaft i now see i need to replace the boots on one of the front axles
how do i get the axle out of the strut - does the 'A'
member have to drop - is it (the 'A') in a bind while connected to the strut

Remove the nut from the lower ball joint and separate. With the A-arm off, the strut can be moved out to remove the half shaft. Remove the shaft from the front diff, then from the strut. ....
