happy new years everybody just looking to know where i can or if i can put a block heater in a 850D xuv i can see the frost plug s they look like they are behind the injecter pump and one over the flywheel any input would be great thanks
p.s. what a great site for gator info.

Deere shows an engine coolant heater part # AR87167 for diesel engines only. It also requires an engine block heater adapter part# AM134805. Both are "contact dealer" items. ....

thanks for the info. so this said does that mean that the local parts store block heater will not work and i can only use john deere parts for this not big on paying JD prices in canada they are way over priced.but they are open today till noon i will give them a try. thanks again anyone who needs info on gators you know more than anyone glad you are so willing to help so many. ....

I'm sure that JD is getting them somewhere else since it is a Yanmar motor. It would be nice if you could look at one, but I'm sure that wouldn't happen at a Deere dealer. Yanmars are used alot in marine applications , but I guess a marine supply store would be just as bad. I would think that as long as you could hook up to a coolant port somewhere with a heating element you would be ahead of the game. I just looked on line and there is one that goes in the lower radiator hose and one that is magnetic that sticks on the block or oil pan. Just google "yanmar diesel block heater" ....

well did some looking and i think the inline heater is the one for me simple to put on as well. the napa store up the road has one going to go and get it today ....

ok i have installed tons of block heaters on gators and tractors the block heater is a screw in with a short prob. and the adapter kit is a bolt on kit that the heater screws in to it. it you look under your fuel filter there will be a frez plug with two holes(one on ether side). hope this helps. ....

thanks for the info had a chanse to take a look at the frost plug and seeing it i am going to take this route.i didn't get out to get the other inline one. the frost plug under the fuel filter isn't that bad to get at looks like a easy job. thanks for the post ....
