Anyone have any experience replacing the engine in a 1987 AMT 600 with the Kawasaki FE250D engine?? Could use a few pointers for the process.

Hello
I have a bran new FE250D complete in a box. This has never been used and was produced in 04. It is complete less exhaust. It also includes a new fuel pump. I am willing to sell this one because I had two and I already put the other on my Gator.
Thanks ....

I've installed the new FE250D-AS11 engine. Took out the old F82 original engine in this 1987 AMT 600. Running fine now. Did have some major shift linkage, exhaust and carb air cleaner modifications I had to do, but it's all working out okay. Don't know if the old engine has alot of value to it. I got a posting from a guy that has an extra FE250D, you may have seen the post.

I do still have the engine. You can buy one from the dealer for around $2000. I would be happy with $1000. By the way I put the motor in mine in the rear like the newer ones. It was guite easy, and no exhaust or shifter modifications to make. ....
