I have 10 acres to maintain, about 9 of which requires some amount of mowing. I am also in a mountainous area and have some pretty teep inclines that present a challenge. I'm trygin to decide what is the best tractor /mower for me and have my eye on the Kubota 1860. I am drawn to the Kubota because of the roll over protection and seat belt. I currently have a John Deere GX345 - which is underesized for the amount of property in my opinion. Any recommendatrions?

I've got two 345's but no mountains, we're flatlanders here. In my conditions I couldn't ask for a more dependable machines. Deere has so many models of moweres that it seems no situation could go unanswered as far as as safety equipmwent or any other requirement. I know basicly nothing about Kubota moweres othere than they are orange. Having a good nearby dealer would likely be the best decision maker, as either brand will have what you need. Frank. ....

Kubota's mower drive system is very strong and will mow some things that might be considered brush hog material. The 1860-2360 are both low machines that would help keep the center of gravity low on hill sides.
Kubota's build quality has been hard to beat for anyone although many people have had success with other makes. ....
