Before you get too far and buy the valve and lines, etc. what's the weight of the grapple? And what's the loader lift rated at? And does the grapple's leading edge exceed the existing bucket? ....

I can't quote the weight difference between my four in one bucket and the conventional bucket, but they are somewhat heavier. My tractor came with the third valve so hookup was easy. Mine is a clam type not a grapple but they are someahat similar. Mine is for the 430 loader on the Deere 4310. They are a handy option for grabbing up brush is mostly what I use mine for. When the clam isn't needed I switch to the conventiuonal bucket for dirt, sand, gravel, snow, etc. ....

My 6' wide skid steer bucket is nearly 500 lb., my industrial grapple is a few pounds over 800--that cuts my lifting by 300 lb.

On a small machine with marginal rating to start, a few pounds can make a BIG difference.
