Any input on using the bx 23 for brush hogging? How big can I go. I have a 10 acre lot with a lot of brambles, small saplings, etc. Do I rent a big machine and buy later or buy the 23 now and use it for clearing as well as future mowing and landscaping.
Looking at a used one for around $11,000 has about 150 hrs. Good deal?

I love the BX' series but I would think you are over the edge on this one. I'd look at the new B series or go into a two machine operation.
One part that I worry about is the fans for the transmission that get ruined on trash like sticks. The full B series doesn't use the fans.
Depending on the acrerage and the way you choose to deal with it how much time do you have alloted for mowing? ....
