my L35TLB will not go into 4 wheel drive, it just pops and the front wheels just jerk a little, no problem in 2 wheel drive. Also need a source for a shop manual. Thanks

Check your lever(s) that activates the 4 wheel drive. There is a pin that connects the lever your grab to an L shaped lever that slides (engage/disengage) the 4 wheel drive gear on the front drive shaft. Make sure the pin is intact and the levers are in good shape. Tractorsmart.com is a good source for manuals. Good luck. Dave/ ....

With the pop, is it the lever bouncing back out? From time to time they might break the coupler on the driveshaft. ....

the lever stays put but the the front wheels just jerk and it pops like it tries to engage but can not. I had a small leak in one of the outrigger cylinders and took it to the local equipment guy who will have the cylinder back on tomorrow but is to busy to tear the tractor down at this time, I thought of taking it to A Kubota dealer but I am concerned they may skin me alive, so I am trying to learn all I can as I am a fair mechanic and may do it myself or at least have a better grip on the situation ....

Kubota uses slip collars to drive the front end from the drive shaft and from time to time the centring pin might fall out allowing it to move off the end of the shaft or the collar crack and break. ....

Thanks, that sure sounds like that could be culprit, now how about tearing this thing down, I have the parts lists and illustrations but is there a service manual that has illustrated proceedures by any chance?

just past Marvins meats right before you get to Dungannon, I lived in Windermere until last year and moved out here to have some land to put a nice shop on etc, that Bees Fairy road is realy growing up you know,lots of traffic these days.
