I am looking to purchase a 2520 and trying to understand what the brochure calls a "hydraulic mid-mower lift kit". Going throught the JD 'build your own' path on the JD Web page, I sumize that what it calls "Independent attaching kit for 2520, bundle LVB25605" is the same thing.
Right?
My current tractor (Kubota BX2200) uses the same hydraulic to lift the mid deck as the 3ph. Would the 2520 act the same without this kit? does this kit give the mid deck a completely seperate hydraulic control from the 3ph? And, where does that valve mount up? It is not clear from any of the JD liturature.
Also, there is some other option for a mechanical lift for the mower...........? what is that?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch, Scott.

I recently purchased a 2305 and added the mid mount mower kit to allow me to mow and keep the FEL on with the Ballest box on the rear pto. On the 2305 they added a valve to allow me to use the FEL up and down and to lift the ballest box. The curl on the FEL is used to raise and lower the mower. The only thing I found is that you can not raise the mower and remove the hyd. hose. You must lower the deck to use the full function of the bucket or remove the mower completly. I am new at this so if anyone has any other way to raise mower and remove hose let me know. ....

According to the JD dealer I am dealing with, yes.

According to the JD dealer I am dealing with, yes - however I am told "you can not use the joy stick to control the loader while using this kit.

My discussions lead me to believe there is no other valve and the joy stick is used.

This is not applicable to the 2520 - the Web builder does indeed say that. The Web builder also says there will be a mid-mower latch-up kit for the 2520 in the fall of 2006.
This does not make this kit for the 2520 very attractive, IMHO. It would be nice if more detailed information is publicly available from Deere.

This sounds like a completely different situation from the 2520 since you say they added a valve.
