I'm looking for a mid mount finish mower for my TC24DA. It calls for a 914A mower deck, there's a 914 on ebay for sale. Does anyone know if this will work, or if not, what changes would need to be made?
thanks
Mike

You can make it fit. Is it worth it no. There would have to be allot o fabricating in voled to make it work. Also if you have a loader it is impossible with out make all new mounting brackets. Also you need to make sure it is th right frame for the tractor in question. All New Holland mid mowers are 914A regardless of what they go on. You can not put a 914A on a TC24 that is supposed to go on a TC33 or visa versa ....

What's the difference between the "A" and the "non-A" versions of mower decks? Is it the deck itself or is it just bracketry? ....

I was planning on buying all the brackets that bolt to my machine, and the bellcranks (pivots), and pull rods from NH, and welding brackets to the deck to match. I was wondering if the transmission location is ok to work with my mid pto location

Both the deck and brackets are different. The PTO is in th same spot on both units so that would be the only thing that is not a problem. ....

well, I'll look at it and see if it seems worth it, my NH dealer quoted me $3000 for the 914A deck and brackets. I can get the older deck for 500, and probably the remainder of the tractor brackets for I'm guessing 300 - 400, so if I can make it work, that's a big difference in cost. I really apprecitate your input ....
