I recently bought a house with 5 acres(old horse farm)and the bottom field gets pretty swampy sometimes. Anyway I'm looking for advice on which would be the best for me tc29 30 or 33 lotta mowing and most likely alot of fel work there is also a used tc35 for sale at local dealer would that be overkill? Thanks in advance

I would immediately drop out the smaller units and make my decision between the 33 and 35. The FEL lift capacity of the 35 is much greater than the 33. The 33 has a 60" wide bucket while the 35 is 72". Is the wider bucket good or bad for your application.

The 35 machine is lots larger. Will it fit where you want to drive it. Also what about storage in a shed. Will the big guy fit?

The tires on the 35 are also huge in comparison to the 33, so with swampy land a bigger footprint may be important. How old is the 35? They have made a few minor changes since some of the older models and these features may be important to you.

I'd chances are go with the 35 if you are doing allot of field mowing and heavy FEL use! ....

Thanks Yooper I'm going to look at the 35 today, it looks fairly new has the curved loader arms.. I'll have to measure but just from eyeballing it I think it will fit in my barn.Anything I should watch out for I'm new to this tractor stuff? ....

Sorry, I had a lengthy response for you but my server went down just as it was sent. It is lost forever! I'll have to retype it.

I'm more familiar with the RED Case models which are nearly identical. I assume all the models you are looking at have a hydro. The 33 has a 3 range hydro which is controlled by a lever. The 35 is a 2 range hydro but also has an electronic shift(have the dealer explain this, since they call it a 4 range). Newer models have this on the FEL stick which is where you want it. You may want to downshift when striking a full bucket. The switch mounted on the right rear fender is ok if you have 3 hands. Newer models have a slightly different hood, grille and side panels. The platform deck on the newer models is rubber covered. The paint won't scratch off from wear. The lower 3 point lift arms should also have telescopic links.

When looking at the used unit, check out how clean it is under the hood. Look at the air filter. Check the oil level. Look at grease zerks to see if maintenance was an issue with the previous owner. Check out the wear on the tires. Engage the PTO to see if it works and turn the wheels while it is setting still. With power steering, one finger should work and it should be smooth. It should also just start right up. Raise, tilt and lower the FEL and raise and lower the 3 point. Drive it around the lot in high and low range. Take it out on the road in high range just to see if it wanders. Could be a loose front end or tie rods. If the dealer has a stone pile while in 4WD strike a full bucket and lift to full height while driving slowly and turning sharp right and left. If there is any hesitation the pump capacity or flow isn't up to snuff. Ask if the rear tires are loaded and if so what kind of fluid. Check out new price for same unit and compare financing options. Check out used price for price of new 33 also. Set a 33 and 35 side by side to compare. Drive both. Go with what seems right! ....

I edited my last post with more information. Hope this gives you a starting point. Also check if the 35 has the mid PTO or rear hydraulic ports. These options are also worth something.

Forgot in my rewrite about the loader. Tilt the bucket about 30 degrees and lower it down to the ground on flat pavement. If one side hits first, the lift arms could be sprung. Many times it may touch a little more than the other because the ground isn't perfect. Big differences are what you are looking for from one side to another. ....
