I'm thinking of purchasing a TC30 during NH's 0% for 60 mos. promotion. I'm looking at the hydro 4 wheel drive model with the 7308 FEL, used finish mower and a new box blade. My questions are 1) Is electronic cruise available on the TC30 with Hydro? 2) Can the TC30 be upgraded with the Deluxe 3 point hitch? 3) Is the 7308 Loader really quick change? and 4) Can a TC29 deluxe seat be mated to a TC30?
If yes to any what should the upgrade cost?
Local dealer doesn't seem to know exactly)

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the response. My dealer quoted me $250 for the cruise after looking it up in the book and $1100 for adding the deluxe hitch. They said you'd have to change the axle to upgrade the 3 pt hitch. ....

Your dealer is full of sh!!. The whole tractor is the same rad. fan to PTO, between the 33,29 and the 30. The only difference is sheet metal. The extend able lower links can be added with out ANY!! modification. It would cost you the parts to do do it and that is it which is no where near $1100. All you need is the left and right lower links and if you wanted the telescopic side sway bars. The deluxe seat from the 29 or 33 will bolt right in place. ....

I looked at the TC30 and decided the extra cost was worth going with the TC33D. Don't know about now, but when I bought mine in '02 the TC30 had an outdated sheet metal hood and fenders prone to rusting along the metal edges. Even mine is outdated now with the DA (which is uuuugly). The "deluxe hitch" is a total joke. It's a piece of pooh-pooh---mine got so sloppy that I had to weld it together. Dealer wants $500 for new arms. And you still need three legs/arms (or two people) to use it effectively (but not anymore for me--I made a slick quick-attach system like a bobcat loader has with hydraulic locking pins that makes switching implements a breeze). I laos have Super Steer on mine and it is very handy for going around things. Keep in mind that the left and right cutting brakes can be used if you have three feet. If you have only two feet, and cruise control, you can use the right brake only. The left one is basically useless. ....

I looked at the TC 30 and had decided on buying it until I actually spent some time talking to a sales person at the dealership that I bought my TC29. After a long discussion about several compacts and different options I felt like the TC29 was the best buy for the money. If you are already wanting to upgrade the 3PH, a different seat, and cruise why would you not want to get the TC29? It is the the tractor that you want with the options that you want for the money that you want and only 1 horse less. My dealer was only $1500.00 more for the TC29 and it was a hell of better tractor than the TC30 (options wise). I paid less than $14000.00 for mine with the brush guard and 150 lbs. of weight on the front. I can't imagine that with the options that you want that could be a lot less that that. ....

One other thing with the cruise control on the TC30 is it is a mechanical set up vs. the electrical on the 29 and 33. Hitting the brake will not disengauge it. ....

Thanks for all the responses, I failed to do my homework up front and contracted with a not so knowledgable dealer but most of customers I spoke with said there service and repair work was good. I've decided to buy the TC30 hydro 4x4 with mech. cruise, TC29 seat, 7308 FEL, R4 tires with fluid in the rears, 72" box blade and finishing mower. Total package is $18,800 which includes NH insurance and a service manual on CD. The dealer is located in Henderson, TN, they made me feel as if I got a good deal. I'll post me thoughts after I've put a few hours on it.
Thanks again to all that responded. ....
