any sugestions on the best stuff in this nasty northern michigan sand ? sun and shade mix, must do well with traffic,and no, we dont have sprinklers up here !

My favorite up here in NY is blends of Kentucky Blue but it is expensive straight up and they do a lot with Creeping Red Fescue which seems to spread good and is extremely hardy but get's in to my gardens easily and is hard to stop the creeping action but the turf at 3" plus is lush and hard to kill with the dry summer we are having and it does wear well. We are on a good loam with good drainage from gravel and sand below. ....
