Well I have looked for a year and finally decided to buy a TC40DA with hydro, loaded R4 tires, 16LA QA Loader w/bolt cutting edge, front grill guard, and block heater. We'll see how it does, supposed to be delivered end of the week. I had compared to JD 3000 series, Kubota Grand and the NH TC29/33 or 35, but decided to go with NH, and I really wanted to 4 cylinder so I bought probably more than I need with the 40, but this is my tractor of a lifetime!

Did you get the joystick option where you can electronically downshift/upshift on the knob?
The 40 is a big tractor. You should be able to dig, drag, push, lift or rip out anything you want and then some.

I've been looking at the CNH version. I like RED. That would come in handy when running the loader into hard packed soil, etc. ....

Pete,
Just talked to the salesperson, that feature with the upshifting and downshifting on the knob is on the tractor. I didn't notice it when I test drove it, but the salesperson says it is a very nice feature.

On New Hollands that is standard with the hydro units. Case is an option. ....
