I have a TC40D and it's thermostat has a little tab that is supposed to plug the air relief hole when the thermostat is in the closed position to allow the engine to warm up. The problem is that sometimes the tab gets stuck under the lip of the thermostat and doesn't allow it to close causing the tractor to run cold. Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution? Thanking you in advance, Linoman.

There is a updated thermostat that has the "jiggle pin" set outboard a little to gain clearance. Some people cut them off and have no problems...there is not enough flow getting thru that little hole to affect proper cooling.
