What is a fair price on a 2002 dc29d still at dealer never been sold? hydro, r-4 tires, folding roll bar, full warranty

I am trying to get a deal on it and just wanted some opinions. It is a little weathered from sitting in the sun.
Has 6 hours on it.

Right now there at 12,500 for bare tractor.

I find out why it's been there for three model years---doesn't make sense. I'd find out how the six hours got on there--probably more than just "demo-ing". I would suspect there may be something wrong with it and it was bought back or brought back and traded because when I started having problems with mine, New Holland Customer Sevice was ready to have me go pick out another one. They also had problems with paint peeling and rusting on the chassis, so watch out.

In 2002 I paid $13,500 out the door. That was Ford A-Plan Discount too so I paid what the dealer paid for it which puts yours at about what the dealer paid for it---3 years ago. Also, if it has a gray painted chassis, versus the near-black chassis, it's an early 2002.

Let's say you owned it and wanted to trade it. I doubt they'd give you anything close to that. For example, I have a 2003 New Holland skid steer with 320 hrs that I paid $32,000 for--for trade-in they want to give me half that---then resell it and make $3-4000. I told them to sharpen their pencil. ....

In 2002 I paid $14,300.00 for a TC33D the TC29D was a grand less. From talking to some dealers recently I would say it is worth $11,200.00 retail and $9,600.00 trade in. You should be able to buy a new one for about $14,800.00. I think they are a $1,000.00 too high. Good luck ....

If you dont get it lowered by aleast a grand IMO I would spend the extra money (if for anything at all for a piece of mind) and resale.
Come to think about it, if you have the money, no way would I buy a weathered 3 year old tractor. Are you planning to garage keep it? ....

After looking it over, and driving it around today I have decided to get it.

I really like the dealer and half way trust him. Which is more then what I can say about most dealers.

I figure with the full warranty I might as well let it rip.

I know I could find a used 2002 cheaper but there wouldn't have the warranty.

I did talk him into adding the 60" belle mower at close to cost which also makes this to cheap to pass up.

The only thing that does suck is the 02 has the weaker front diff then the new ones. Newholland redesigned the fount diff in 03 to make it stronger for there new loaders.

He clamed that the new rounded style 14la loader does bolt up but will void the warranty because of its higher lifting capacity, then the old style 7308 loader.

Other then that the only other thing that looked different between the 02 and the 04’s is the new cazy head lights.

I going to hang a box blade on it as soon as I get it home and put it to the test.
Might even hook it back to back with my super M and have us a little pull off. HaHa

I will let you guys know how that turns out.

Oh yea the dc was a typo and the frame is black.

Well today I really put this 29 to test with 5' box blade.
So far I am impressed, but you could tell it was all the 29 would want to handle in hard ground

The three point hitch set up is very nice compared to what I was used to.

Also this thing will cut grass as well as anything I have see.

I really don't have much experience with tractor this small but I was surprised with how much these little tractors will pull.
