Sounds similar to what I ran into, a bad ground. The negative terminal corroded internal to the connection at the battery and only a strand was connected, not enough to handle the current of the starter. I replaced it and it fired right up. Took me days to find it.

I too helped out a friend with the same problem. Why did I overlook the battery terminal problem? The top post connection on the negative side had a clamp that held the cable in place. Underneath the clamp, the connection was rusted, where you couldn't see it. It looked good from the top. Since we cleaned the battery post, I thought we had a good connection, even though they didn't look bad. When I tried the remote starter suggestion, it didn't even roll. I then checked the battery ground by removing it and thoroughly inspecting. After cleaning the connection, it fired up.

Hello,<br>
I was looking for some assistance with the TSB for cracked fenders on this style of tractor. I don't know what the TSB number is. <br>
It has to do with the mitigating cracks where the seat attaches to the fender. I've seen a post where a TSB is mentioned, but not the TSB number.<br>
I have contacted New Holland out of Wisconsin and my local dealership located in Navasota, TX. <br>
I'm hoping that someone knows the TSB number so I can give it to the dealership. I don't seem to be getting too quick of a response from them. Thanks!<br>

I installed a HST Fan Guard Kit today. Fits TZ18DA-TZ25DA. Also Case IH DX18E-DX25E. I had to replace the fan earlier. I hadn't noticed any problems. During routine maintenance changing the HST filter, I noticed the fan blades missing. I had about 100 hours on the unit. I replaced the fan and fluid (no burnt smell though). I didn't get a guard at the time, since I was using a mmm. This fall when the mmm was removed and started using the FEL, I forgot about it until I started reading about another problem. (Fender cracking under seat. Spent more time cleaning under the operators platform than installing the guard.

WAG- check where the coolent overflow drain is at from the overflow bottle/cap. Even though the tractor isn't getting hot, some spillage may be occuring from rough terrain onto some wires or connection. I extended mine with a small hose to avoid dripping on wires/connections near the overflow.

I'm thinking about adding the new holland grass catcher for my mmm. It seems like the logical thing to do since it's PTO driven. Anyone have one and know what the price range is? Thanks for the info!

I'd like to add lights to the roll bar on my TZ24D. When I leave for work it's dark and the same when I get home. I'd like to play outside plowing snow at night. Can the alternator handle a couple of extra lights?

I experience the same thing. Made the cable co. set an appointment. I was really surprised by the leakage. Tighting up connections and adding termination resistors to open connections cleaned up the cable and greatly reduced the stray RF.

I just picked mine up last week. I have a front end loader and mid mount mower. I worked it over HARD this past weekend. It ran great. I dug up some autumn olive trees with the front end loader. I was really surprised at how much power it had for its size. The mower worked great, but I wish I had a bush hog style for the field grass. I bought the 24 HP because of it's size in a small package. I wish they had an indication that the parking brake was on, because I could easily drive in low with it lightly engaged. I didn't notice I had it set unless I removed my foot from the foward petal and came to an abrupt stop. I didn't get the cruise control or automatic fwd. So far, I really don't need them, even mowing around the fence row on a 60 acre farm. I haven't performed any maintenance on it yet, since the first is scheduled at 10 hours. I can already see the oil filter accessability is going to be a two step process to remove a guard to get to it. Mine was brand new, the tractor 9.5K, MMM-2K, and FEL, 2.7K.
