I just read this today on another forum. <br>
Just to be on the safe side I'd use one drum for gas and another drum for diesel.<br>
Why not just empty the drum with your pump?<br>

This same kind of friction can be created by the diesel fuel rubbing on the plastic can during filling. Apparently if the can has ever been used for gas, and is swithed back and forth between diesel and gas there is a film left that is particularly prone to creating static sparks and setting off explosions. I believe ti results in static generation when the gas rubs on the diesel film if I remember right. The Consumer Product Safety Commission published a special alert on this a few years back due to some explosions. <br>

The hose that comes off the pump and curves up to the ceiling is an extra 13 foot long hose I tied into the suction hose that runs between the drum and the pump.
It's the hose you see running between the wall outlet and the fuse box.

I installed this hose specifically to avoid having to lift and pour out of anything.

What I would do in your case with the cans is simply insert the hose in the can or cans and pump the fuel right out of them.

Solved the problem :
Had a plumbing shop weld a 2''x3/4" reducer and a 3/4" collar together this morning.

DIRT CHEAP ----------Was on my way into town and the State was cleaning out the road ditch less than a mile from me.<br>
Stopped and told them I had a place to dump the dirt if they needed one.<br>
They delivered me 3 truck loads.<br>
Nothing like free dirt when you have a tractor !<br>

My only experience with PEX was a couple of years ago when I put in a hew hot water tank and replaced some of the water lines with pex.
I had a lot of trouble with the PEX compression fittings not sealing resulting in several leaks.
I had a couple of them pop completely off and flooding the place a few times.
I still have several feet on the roll that I bought back then.
I have to replace some old rusty water pipe and plan to use the pex pipe on that project but Am going to use Shark Bite fittings on it rather than pex fittings.

I've never used Shark Bite products before but I'm going to give them a try shortly.<br>
I have to replace some old steel rusty plumbing that's in areas that would be hard to reach and use wrenches in.<br>
I am going with Shark Bite Fittings due to the fact that no wrenches are need as all you do is slip the tubing into them.<br>
Hopefully that will make a tough job much easier. <br>
1*I got them today at a local plumbing and electrical place that is a supplier to some of our plumbing and electrical dealers and contractors. <br>
They also sell to the public such as my self.<br>
2*Just one that I know of ;a small plastic gadget that is used to release the fitting if you need or want to take things apart.<br>
They were out of them but told me they should have some of them in next week.<br>
3* it's my understanding I/2 and 3/8 inch of any kind of plastic or copper flexible tubing / pipe in those diameters.<br>
4*Here is the list for the 1/2'' fittings I got today.<br>
TEE = $8.65 <br>
Straight Connector = $4.35<br>
Reducing Connector = $5.35<br>

I have an 8 x16 storage building with a small Nat Gas heater, small AC and a small Frig in it.
I keep a little heat in it all winter due to the Frig.

LB I have the perfect solution! I have 4 such appendages that I use for those duties. Been using them going on 45 years now. Most likely you have a set of both too.

okay on a serious note, I have toted 24' 6x6's using the box blade. All you do is lift the box blade, set and balance the items on it with them going along side the tractor or across the back and ratchet-strap them down to the box blade. rms! WOW what a concept!

I feel the blade forks would be much more efficient than your concept.

Guess I could do the same with the tiller but i like the blade forks approach better.

Well, I've decided to sell the 1967 Bolens with these attachments.
Front blade
Rear tiller
Mower deck
Set of tire chains.

I'm also throwing in and extra mower deck for a parts mower.

Nothing fancy but it's all mechanically good especially the tractor Blade and tiller.
Now the 64 $ question what would be a fair asking price for both me and the buyer?

I know one thing it's hard to find a used garden tractor that has all 3 of these attachments with it.

I know I looked for years with out success so I just broke down and bought a used BX1500 and a new tiller and front blade for $7125

Here is a chance for somebody to save tons of money compared to that.

We are about to complete the 4th season with our BX1500. Mows about 2&1/2 acres in the summer and some snow removal in the winter. Ideal for our needs. David.

Unfortunately I had to load and unload the lawn trailer.
