Not really what I wanted to hear, but it's definitely what I needed to be told. Ha-ha. You're right though, no sense in doing it twice. I consider myself an unwilling mechanic, it just doesn't come naturally to me. But it's one of those necessities of life, wrenching that is. If I could afford to have someone else do it, I could probably also afford a newer tractor. Thanks again.

Update: I got the pump back and found the internal scoring was really not that bad. I then talked to my local JD dealer and found that the bushings were no longer available, which have to be replaced to prevent further wear. Took it to a machine shop and he thinks he'll be able to find/make something to work.

Do you know of a scrap yard for John Deere tractors. I need a Hydraulic Pump for a 2010 RU with Power Steering. Mine is one of the early Serial Numbers, I forget where the break is.

That's interesting, I'll check them out. Well, the pump is out and I shipped it to Draper to rebuild. They could not locate one off the shelf, and requested I send mine in. I'm still in a hope and pray mode that this will fix it.
