My Gator Ground in F and R and I cleaned the Primary Clutch out with Elec Motor Cleaner and then put a little grease in the parts that moove Wings and on the shaft that slides when you give it RPm it works fine now Little to no grinding

HI Declid I am with you, I was given a JD Gator and I can not get Enything out of JD except inflated Prices There is a lot one can do without going to JD, You can rent the tool I think Once I sell My JD gator I will not go with JD again, I have asked for help several times from JD with no responce except Take it to a dealer

Hi Make sure you get the Plastic additive for the paint Put it in the primer as well We use it on the plastic bumpers and it holds up good. Keep in mind it does make the paint less shiny Do not use water base PNT

Bassman you need to go to a Motorcycle salvage yard The older Biks have what you need 70s 80s 90,match one up Newer bikes might not work Must have the spring unlike autos

Hi Gatoraider,Well I did it but I did not take it apart.Coulden't get it apart Fear of snapping the flange I cut the old spring out and literary screwed the new spring into it It works I just live to far out to have it repaired. Thanks for your help

Try putting a little oil in the ports Put spark plugs back in and see if it starts If it does it may not have enough Compression to Fire If it starts when its cold you would have a little more compression.

You are correct The red wire with black tracer is no where to be found once it goes into the loom I was added or splced to a wire I can not see. It seems everything works fine without it although not sure about the charging or the fan, I undrstand it takes a lot of time for the fan to kick in But it was conected or partly conected Any one have a Wire Digram for the 4by 6 Gator I think year 2000

Soak all the parts Not the rubber parts, Blow out all the jets with compressed air and adjust the float adjust the Needle valves D ought you need a carb

Just bought a JD gator, The secondary clutch spring is shot so I ordered a new one. I am told the bolt that holds the pulley on may be a right or left hand bolt. It has a L on it does that mean I turn it clockwise to loosen? I do not want to snap it off<br>
