I have a IH loader that went on a H or M. I have the brakets for it , but no cylinders. It is a pull latch type that u have to lower to latch it back, after dumping. I was wondering how much it would be worth when i sell it. Thanks, Derek Rochester, IN

The gearbox will still be turning, even in neutral if the clutch is out(engaged). It sounds as though you do not have a syncromesh transmission. The important question is then, does the grinding stop if you hold the clutch in for a few seconds before you try to shift it into gear? If it does, it's making noise just because it's a non synchro tranny. If it continues to grind after holding the clutch in for a long time, then the clutch is hanging up. This then will require a fair amount of work if it's not just a linkage problem.

It would be interesting to know just what the dealer did for $800.

The plow is a nice little unit that mounts on its own sub-frame under the nose of the tractor.

It comes standard with hydraulic power up-down and hydraulic angle.

As plows go, it is quite reasonable. I paid about $1000 for mine last year.

Mr. Simonson: If you ever have the chance, cut open one of the Fram filters and a JD, Fleetguard or other OEM filter and compare them. You'll probably never buy another Fram filter.

There should be no downside because the glow plugs always go on when you start it and the time they're on is limited by an electronic controller either way. There might be a slight upside because, as you noticed, the starter works less.

Everybody I know uses off-road diesel in their farm tractors. Also recommended by my dealer.

TO put is simply. It can not be done. the backhoe uses a sub frame the bolts the where the mmm hangers bolt. You can switch all the brackets but it is a time consuming deal.
1* If you wand all three your real choice should be Kubota.

Right on hardwood! Brings back memories. One of my first jobs at about 18yo was driving a semi. It was not the "professional" job that it is today. I got my rig stuck in mud up to the axels one day. A farmer came out with an old Ford tractor. I wish I could tell you what model it was, but I don't recall. Just remember that it was big for it's day, had a huge flywheel on the side that the farmer turned by hand to get it started. It was a "one-lunger" he called it, but it pulled that truck out slicker-than-snot. Guess we are "professional" farmers now-a-days, eh?

Had the same thing happen to my shaft drive Ariens deck last year. Got some of the same thickness metal as the deck and carefully ground out the edges of where the old deck rusted out. I then took the new same thickness metal and matched up an exact fit LEVEL replacement and MIG welded it in to place and ground it level to the surrounding existing deck metal. I then drilled new mounting hole for the gear box and repainted it and PRESTO.....You couldn't even tell the difference where the new metal ended and the old metal started. Just the new deck 14 gauge shell without the parts runs 1100.00 for my Ariens. Fixed it good as new for just my time (an entire Saturday) and some MIG Wire and gas.

Site prep is everthing. What are you building on for a base? 3500 lb min. Don't let them add water at the site,give them several locations to pour from not exceeding the chute length by more than 10-12'.<br>
I would not build on anything less than 18-24" of clean compacted gravel above the surrounding grade. 2-6" inches <br>
of stone? Min. of 6" after compacted. 2" of foam and rebar only. The wire won't keep it moving. Only breaking up, if<br>
you pour it inside of a 4' frost wall it can't go anywhere.IMHO insulated floor and frost wall is the ONLY way you will keep an unheated build in place.<br>
If you putting in a lift I think you will need a substantial concrete base before the floor goes in. The lift<br>
company should be able to give you the specs. Do your home work first it is not a easy fix later. I am going to e-mail you some pics of a 28x36 three car garage<br>
foundation that I just poured. We are about to backfill and fill in the floor area with clean sharp sand. compacted every foot. 2" inches of foam 5" of 3500<br>
lb. mix in the floor with rebar every 4' criss cross pattern. The walls are a min 4' below grade with 8" exposed when final grade is done. 3' apron with 2" of foam and rebar across the front in front of the doors.

Oh, yes. I thought of the litter box problem. I have six cats and they will fill anything like that with crap in no time. I built a wooden box that fits tightly above the sand. It is made out of some 2 x 8's that I had scrap from another project. I put a plywood lid on the box and use it to store some chain and tools that helps add to the weight of the box too. As you may know, sand is one of the lightest filling materials anyway. Thanks for the tip.

On the page where you post pictures, it tells about using paint program and changing the size by the stretch feature. I followed these directions and found if I shrunk to 45% the pictures fit the requirements but you may need a different amount depending on the size of original.

I have an JD X595SE Diesel mower and a JD Gator 4x4. I bought a front blade when I got the 595, is this the same blade used on a Gator? Would this blade hook up to my Gator?<br>

Went through a stike myself. They are not nice and can really change the atmosphere of a workplace if and when the strike is over. From bad to really bad. It's a shame that it comes down to this sometimes. Good luck.

No, he didn't mount the box scraper or snow blower. I figured out how to attach them but I wasn't too sure about final adjustments. The snowblower was delivered 5 days after the tractor but it was set-up while the dealer had the tractor at his dealership. It was delivered to them with a manual crank for chute rotation and I had ordered a hydraulic set-up with the extra rear-mounted valve & control. I plan to mount the snowblower this weekend and make sure everything is working before our first snowfall.

I'm gradually learning more from the dealer and members of this forum. Thanks everyone for your input and suggestions!

BTW, the dealer has been great, which is the most important aspect of owning a CUT, or anything new.

I got my tractor (JD 4310 with 420 loader) a few weeks ago and asked the dealer to weld on some hooks. He acted like this was an unusual request but was super nice and told me that he couldn't do it but that he would get it done for me before delivery at a welding shop down the street, with me paying for it seperately, which was agreeable to me. He was suggesting that I just have one mounted in the middle, because he was concerned that one toward either end would result in an unbalanced strain on the loader. I assured him that I would use both hooks together to distribute the load. Upon delivery, I had a hook in the middle and one on each end, nicely welded and freshly painted green. Also, the dealer picked up the tab for the job. The ones on the end are welded to the square plates which form the connection point for the loader arms, which make for a good solid weld. No signs of any bending after a good bit of heavy use. The middle hook will obviously only be good for lighter use. If I can figure out how to post decent sized pictures, I will show them off.
