I personally have not had traction issues with my B2410, but there is a soloution to it. Have the rear tires filled with calcium and water. That would add several hundred pounds to the tractor, permanantly. It also helps to locate any leaks if you have one :). You didnt mention if you have an FEL on your tractor or not. I use a grader blade and FEL to clear snow from my property.

I just received a TR3 that I am trying out and it does have some weight. It lifted the back tires off of my Kubota L3010 tractor when unloading it from the 18-wheeler.

It must weight over 600 pounds.

I would agree with mango. You would be better to add rear wheel weights than add spacers. Rear wheel weights will not add to additonal stress on the bearings or bending stresses in the axle.

If fact, mango if you have the time, run the numbers and see how much weight would have to be added to a wheel to accomplish the same tipping angle. It isn't much.

I have a Deere 318 with just under 740 Hours use - the oil has been changed every 25 hours or less and new filter each time. I have the 54" mower deck with 2 extra blade sets, Snow Blower, Hydraulic lift and angle dozer blade, two sets of wheel weights (one plastic coated Deere and 1 lead home made) + weights that fit on the hitch plate on the rear(lead bars that total about 100Lbs.) Dico Titan Tru-Power 6 Ply tires on wheels and turf tires on wheels. Add on flood lights front and rear.<br>

It is the amount of weight on the FEL required to cause the tractor to tip up and lift at least one tire when the tractor is at rest on a level surface and no other factors save load are at work.

It is commonly referred to as the "pucker in pants point".

I am going to need to replace the glow plugs in my 4100 John Deere. I am nervous. Are they hard to get out. Is there much chance of them being stuck and wanting to break off in the head. What are your experiences in removing them. Thanks for your help!

Be carefull when selecting a hydraulic top link. You need to make sure the retracted length of the link will work with the sub-compact top link length. Most sub-compact top links are shorter than a "standard" cat-1 top link. There really is no "standard" length, although there are standards for link spacings and pin diameters. Depends on the set up of your 3pt for the top link length. With the shorter links on the subs, you may find it difficult to find a hydraulic top link that will fit. I believe a 21" retracted length will be too long.

Many hydraulic shops can make the link for you. Link ends are available at many places, TSC/Agri-Supply/etc. SurplusCenter has been my best source for cylinders. You may even think about doing it yourself. I did, and saved some serious cash.

Ardician, yes the skid plate kit is listed as obsolete but you can still purchase the kit. My dealer got it for me for $312 plus about $20 shipping. If your dealer can't bet it for you let me know and I can put you in touch with Ricky and he can have it drop shipped to you. I have not installed my skid plate kit yet either. I purchased it for when I get started with some heavy brush hogging next Spring. Good luck on the log skidding.

The two stage bucket dump is the regenerative cicuit in the dump valve spool. It allows exhaust fluid to flow to the power side of the cylinder for faster dumping. The feel is pretty slight, but when you move the joystick for bucket dump, there are two different speeds the bucket will dump at. Move slightly to the right, and then full to the right, you can notice the difference.

This is the only difference in the valve. The FEL valve is still as 2-spool, 4-way valve that operates two double acting cylinders. One spool has a float position with detent, which only means that the spool will stay in the float position when the joystick is moved all the way up. Float allows fluid to flow through the spool from one side of the cylinder to the other allowing it to "Float". The FEL valve has is ported for Power Beyond, since the valve is plumbed is series with the tractor hydraulics. In other words, the hydraulic circuit of the tractor is completed through the Power Beyond Port.

Often times I go to sales publications that have used equipment in them selling with the prices and look for comparables. You left a lot open and you need to tell more to get the pricing right. Which model is it? C or L? does it have the extendahoe? 2 or four wheel drive? Cab?

If my memory serves me at all that is just like a torque converter and some times you have to go to the other side of the flywheel to get at the bolts and turn the engine over to get to them all.

Mike1819: I don't keep up too well on prices, but that doesn't seem bad at all. With 360 hrs. you should have many years of service left in the 4700. I'm not sure how Deere breaks down the frame sizes in their in the compact series now that the 20 series has came along, but your 4700 would be the large frame tractor, from the 4400 down were mid frame and I don't remember where they went to small frame. Last time I checked a well equiped 4410 was over 20K list and you have lots more tractor than a 4410. I think you did fine especialy with the loader included. Frank.

I have a Mitsubishi D16000 2wd.It has KE85,16ps,0.864 stamped on the side of the motor. Can you tell me what type of motor this is and if i can get a parts manual for it. <br>
