I have been yanking 30yr old bushes out.

What method are you using for this?

I have a bunch of 2'' to 4" trees growing densely in about a 5000 square foot area.

I'm just trying to learn how to operate the hoe.
I dug around 3 sides of the trunks then was able to push them over with the hoe or FEL.
Don't know if this is the right way to go about it or not so am certainly open to tips or advice.

This was my first success at this.
After the first tree I learned this. Keep the boom away from the trunk and the limbs of the tree. I was working with the tractor too close to the tree and caught the hose clamp that holds the bracket for the SMV sign and snapped it off.
I was lucky it could have been one of the hydraulic hoses.
After the second tree I had learned this-start digging out further from the trunk of the tree where the roots are smaller they break easier there than they do up next to the trunk where they are bigger.

I got 18% off... so it's more than 18%. Funny though...(funny weird, not funny haha) I used to work for Yamaha... and we made all our money on parts not new bike sales. New bikes had very little mark-up.

My L3130 2wd will only take 5 qts oil and that is WITH the
change of filter. Dealer can't tell me why other than at each change I am saving a qt! I am at 102 hrs and this is second change. On my first(50 hr) change, same thing occured. In draining the oil I took out both bolts to each drain side as shown in manual.
Anybody got any thoughts?

Ran into the same thing on my bx23
Book said Oil 2.6 Qt. It took 3 quarts.
Book said Tranny UDT 10.8 Qt. Took 12 quarts.

I love th Tc30 out of every tractor NH puts out today. There HP is under rated and the will work there balls of and ask for more. The 1720 is less HP and the 1920 is about the same hp. They all have the same loader. Weight on the three varies by only a few pounds. If you want warranty go with the new Tc30 if you are going on cost alone go with the 1920.

I have been doing this for my fuel needs.<br>
I started out with two 5 Gal DIESEL containers but found out I only needed one.<br>
What I do is fill up the five gallon can and when the tractor gets to a quarter tank I fill it up and this leaves about 1 and 1/3 gal. in the 5 gal can. When the tractor gets down to 1/4 again I dump the rest of the 5 gal can in the tank. This leaves me about 2 & 1/4 gal. to run on while I get the 5 gal can filled up again.<br>

The thing I haven't got straight in my mind is how to strain the fuel for removal of water, paraffin and debris.<br>

But what kind of a funnel do I need for filtering out paraffin and debris.?<br>

I was going to consider the BX model for my 5 ac horse farm, but after shopping for prices, and comparing I decided on the B2410,

My suggestion made him laugh so hard he had to sit down.

Buy a second 5 gallon can, take them both to the store and fill each one only half full. Now each container weighs half as much, and since it is not full to the top getting the spout in the filler opening without spilling is fairly easy because you can tip the can so far over before the fuel reaches the spout.

I was doing a variation of this for gas for my lawn tractor.
I had 3 or 4 five gal cans.
I would put 3 or 4 gal in each. Other times I would put in 3 or 4 dollars for each can.
Another thing you could do is use 3 two gal. cans and then you always have an extra gallon on hand.

I find just one five gallon can works pretty good for the bx23.
The 5+ gallon tank helps a lot as I only have to handle the 5 gallon can once whereas with the one gallon tank on the lawn tractor I was having to wrestle that old 5 gallon bear 5 times before it ran out of juice.

We have a rent it place here that has 3 Terramite Tractors they rent out.<br>
They haul the Terramite on a trailer that is different than most trailers. <br>
It's not a tilt bed and no loading ramps are needed.<br>
The bed lowers clear down flat with the ground or pavement so you just drive straight onto the trailer. <br>
Anyone have a trailer like this?

I get it done at the dealership along with every other service item . I do it every 4-4.5 K miles . It's a bit more expensive to go that route . But then I don't have to worry about finding a large enough container to hold the old oil or disposing of it .
It also gives me a set of reciepts to prove that I've serviced it regularly should the need arise for warranty work . John

Any JD/Yanmar techies out there that know the precise difference between the engines in these models. They look to be the same engine. The 4400 had a larger one but the 10 series seems to have taken the 4300 engine. I want to know what makes the 4410 have the higher HP. Is it just the fuel pressure setting on the pump? I asked the dealer and all I got was "blah blah EPA, blah blah $10,000 fine, Blah blah we don't even get into the injection pump or know anything about it".

Dave, you're right, sort of, it was the Fairfield Inn, at 68 & 4, they are part of the Marriott chain.

I was going to leave the 'rather large woman' on the tailgate comment alone. I have seen stranger.

did some searching today. Anyone have experience with the one sold by Northern tool? The Howse brand? Pricing seems ok. Also has the option for the chain type guard, which the KK didnt have.
