We use plows made up here called Arctic Snowplows, they are now owned by the cabadain division Monarch Hydraulics. They are very well designed & built and seem to stand up to years of use well.

I would recomend against the use of the B/H, but it depends on the sites you are working on. Personally I think they protrude too far out back and block to much vision. As I'm sure you know, the two things you can NEVER have enough of when plowing are light & vision.

We use 55 gal. poly barrels with a drawbar stuck through them (a little off-center) and then filled with concrete and scrap steel. This seems to work well because the weight is low, well back because the drawbar is off-center na ddoes not obstruct visibility. If you use the milky white ones they look very neat and professional when finished.

Great stuff !!! The best I've seen is a Pick-Up Camper, with the Pick-up bed still attached, toes up in the middle of I-75. He apparently didn't have a belly strap to the truck frame, just lashed the camper to the the truck box.

Even better was the look on this poor guys face as the wife and family gave him Holy-you-know-what on the side of the highway.

The pick-up truck looked fine, just missing the bed that was still attached to the camper.

Ya, but be careful it probley won't be much fun when you get on some unlevel ground and it desides to do wheel stands.bad things could start happening quick then.

Mine was real stiff like that when new. It will break in and get better.

I think the pressure in the HST tends to hold it in gear too. The only way I can get mine to shift easily is to use a firm foot on the brake pedal.

AHHH I have never tried that! Now that makes more sense than driving around backwards to spread the soil, or in my case fine clay dust, ick, coughed that up for a week. As for the hydraulic top link, what is needed to do that? I use one of those spedlok quick hitch adapters that is a permanent fixture on my tractor, so adding a hydraulic top link would be a good addition, and now that I think about it, that would make hitching up some of my stuff easier since I wouldnt need to remove the top link pin to change the bracket position.

Brad I bought a Rhino 75 in April, paid $4900.00 installed. It has worked great. I am in the middle of doing some constuction on my house and had to move some large shrubs and trees as well as dig the footer. I had a friend that is a landscaper move the trees. I let him use my machine he has a JD 4310. I was suprised when He told me he thought my hoe was nicer, better and stronger than his. He also said he would look at NH before his next purchase. good luck

If you are near a good-sized town you might want to find a hydraulics shop and have them do it, it's not expensive or difficult, but it can be tricky.

The seals are remarkably delicate and very easy to nick during re-assembly, it is very frustrating to pull it all apart, tear down the cylkinder, put it all back together again only to find the 'new' seal leaks as bad as the old one.

For a few dollars a pro will do it in a flash.

David, we use 'off-road' diesel, although in a pinch we will use 'on-road' as well, it's just a pain to save all the receipts, file the form and wait for the refund. Regardless of what we are running it ALWAYS goes through a pre-filter to remove as much water, parafin and other debris as possible however.<br>

While overseas on jobs however we are forced to run whatever is available, all of it is rather questionable, some of it is HIGHLY suspect. We ship a LOT of additives along with the machines.<br>

LBrown, you can use Diesel to heat your home with, it's more money that's all.<br>

Both red and blue offer a rear remote that we often just put the disconnects to the front towards the loader instead of the rear. The price is just over 250 and a good price. You will still need to run lines up the loader frame.

As a dealer please call yours. There is some assembly on these tractor and it might only mean a quarter turn on a line to end the leak but a good service manager will check the guys in assembly and hopefully they won't have another one leak!

Frank, I'm not aware that the Farm King brand is available thru TSC's stores. In my area they are thru wholesalers to dealers and built by the Buehler company. I'd have to say for what I know of them is the fit and finish would be all of the land pride line and then some. I sometimes look to the companies as to what they do build instead of so to speak copy from other manufacturers. I do like the Bush-hog line-up from all sides as they also have been an excellent company for parts to us even on OLD equipment that is so to speak hedge row material.

I purchased a Trac-Vac 880 for my 60" MMM. The 880 has a seperate 8HP motor and 50 cu. ft/42 bushel capacity. It does an awsome job and is very easy to dump.

Unless you've mistaken it for the system fuse - or unless all five lights are 55W halogen - using a 25A fuse for probably <10A worth lighting is nothing more than curing the symptom without finding the cause.

You may be pleased with the results now. But - and again assuming it's not the system fuse and not 5x55w halogen - I expect you'll eventually see this solution coming back to bite you in the bum.

Some good things to look at would be the wheelbase, weight,width and height. This would give you a good comparison of size. The next step would be to compare features. Type of engine,drives to the deck,type of clutch system for deck,and on and on.

I made the mistake several years ago in the same situation you are in. I mentally set a budget, and made my decision to but a large "garden class" tractor instead of a CUT. It turned out to be a very expensive lesson. Within two years, I was trying to move up to a CUT and found out how hard it was to get a good trade-in on a tractor that didn't have a good resale value.

Cost can be a deceiving concept. You need to seriously think about what you need to, and want to, do with the tractor. Then find out what tractors best fit your needs. Look at the different purchase options; used, financing, ect., and for sure consider the value the tractor will hold. Don't buy a garden tractor based on your present budget. I lost over $3000 in two years trading in an excellent garden tractor. The market wasn't there to support a reasonable trade to a CUT when I realized the mistake.

Base your decision on need and overall cost. You won;t be sorry. Tractors are a lot like boats. They seem to shrink the more you use them. Have fun.
