Does anyone know an aftermarket source for draft links<br>

The ends of my links are only straight for 2 1/2", and I need them to have 4" of straight arm.<br>

Check out the Earthway spreader M21P. I have one mounted on my gator and it works fine. Holds about 200 lbs and works off the 12 volt battery. A couple of different brackets work for most applications. Your Kubota should handle it just fine.

The dimensions of the Optima D51 are not that far off from the Deere Strong Box BCI Group 22NF battery. The only issue I am concerned about are the hold down lugs on the side of the battery. Will the Deere OEM hold down clamps work on the sides of the D51 like on the Strong Box battery. The amperage specs. look good and will definitely works but the hold down lugs are a point I will have to look at further. Thanks for the tip by the way!

You can get a L3130 without backhoe but with A laoder for about $17,900 but I've seen guys on here pay a few hundred less then that. I recommend the La 732 laoder....they offer you anouther laoder that is slightly weaker. The la723 has a very high lift react & can lift over 1400lbs. I laoded a triaxle with mine..i had to use car ramps to get a 6" extra lift but i was able to laod the triaxle! YOu can also get a skid steer quick detach bucket mount which is priceless. With that you can remove the front bucket in 3 seconds & attach anything they sell for a skid steer. I use a grapple for moving brush & a pallet fork so far with plans to buy many more skid steer attachments. I paid $15,000 for my 790 in 99'. I bought a backhoe for it a year or so later & paid $6200 for the backhoe. I traded in to Kubota directly & they gave me close to $14,000. I had to haggle the hect out of them to get the $14 k . I almost backed out of the deal 3 times before they finally said " Fine! have it your way, we'll give ya the money ya want." The L3130 has tilt wheel, it tells you every time you need to change your oil, has a suspension seat, cup holder & is alot quieter then the JD deisel. I dont think you'll find all these bells on the 990. I'm telling ya your going to like it when you demo it. Let me know what ya think.

Just for your information with implement matching, the 7610 has a pto horsepower rating of 18hp, with an engine gross horsepower rating of 24hp. The 7610 is basically the sane engine and drive train as the 2410, just an economy model. Kubota doen't have a B series tractor with a pto horsepower rating of 26hp. The highest is the 7800/2910 with pto rating of 22hp.

You can move to the L-series Kubota and get 26hp at the pto with the GST. You will need to go with the L-3430 to get 26 pto horsepower in a HST.

My brother in law told me it is ok to substitute home heating oil for diesel fuel. hs said theyare the same THING. He is a certified gm line technicion . is this ok to do? would it affect my warranty?

lbrown, the folks we bought our house from had cut plastic culvert in half lengthwise, thus ended up with "U-shaped", open top ditch liner. It runs parallel to our driveway. The drive runs about 350 feet, w/ 10-15% slope on part of it. I think they'd had it this way for several years. This spring, the amount of water coming off our hill, coupled with heavy rains lead to erosion below the culvert (it didn't run all the way down the hill). If you're going to try something like this, you might want to keep that in mind.

tompet, an indirect answer for you: I have the GC2300 w/ turfs and have had no problem. 90% of my work has been on lawn/gravel driveway. FEL work has not sufferred in my opinion. Weight distribution is important, but when I've needed traction & power, I've had plenty of both.

If you try using the search feature, I think you'll find several older posts about the merits of your tire choices. Good luck!

How far are you looking to go with pulling? There are used ones out there already built to different classes. The 966 chassis is a good one as the 400 series diesel engine has many parts available thru Hypermax which is owned by the original designer of the engine who at the time worked for IH.

If I remember correctly, the lower arms on my BX zeroed out on the rear tires not the backhoe frame.

You would really have to try a quick hitch on this class of tractor to see if it works. Things are a little tight back there.

The Deere blade for the 2210 is the same one as my 4115. It is about the only moderately priced product Deere has.

I paid $900 for mine last year. It raises and lowers just like the FEL and the dump/curl circuit angles the blade left and right. It's a well made, easy to use outfit.

You can lift the blade and stack the snow on the lawn and you can probably push it about 3 feet in before you get the wheels on the grass.

According to JD your OPERATING weight is 2825#, and ballast only adds ~200# to an 11.2x24, and is effectively countered by front ballast in the form of your FEL. So getting pushed downhill is a VALID concern. <br>

-inertial deceleration (trailer)<br>
-hydraulic over electric<br>
Since your biggest worry will be control on downhill slopes, I'd recommend the inertial deceleration (vehicle) type. <br>

Electric brakes pull ~3 amps per magnet. Assuming 2 chipper brake drums, one 8A breaker on the supply side is sufficient. Some controllers also require a fuse on the switch side. <br>
