Many people find it easier to clean the hydrolic screen if you remove the wheel.

I'm not sure I found the hydraulic screen.
Is it at the bottom rear left corner of the transmission?
Is the suction tube it goes in, the metal tube that runs up the left side of the back end of the transmission?
Does the screen take a pretty large # 26 metric wrench to remove?

Maybe it is a given, but what about turning the blade around and pushing in reverse to prevent the tires from packing down the snow? It would take a few trials to get the right angle-of-attack, and possibly some added weight to the blade depending on the type of snow.

For preventing damage such as scratches in the pavement, consider using a flexible cutting edge such as natural rubber (from an old conveyor belt, or an out-stretched car tire tread) or the more durable "cast urethane" which is used on severe-duty snow plows. A 7' piece of urethane is pricey--$300 plus. You can use the existing cutting edge and longer bolts to secure the rubber cutting edge.

Update � I�ve developed a system that seems to work quite well at dispersing the little-buggers. I use the hose to open up the tunnels, then slowly pour used cat liter into the hole, letting the water carry it down into the tunnel. One application per colony seems to be enough. Although, I�ve been giving each colony a follow-up dose 1-week later, just in case. So far, all activity has stopped in the treated areas.

I always knew that some day those darn cats would earn their keep. :-)

I've had the engine almost conk out when I bounce or shift position in the seat - even with my seatbelt on. I know this is caused by the safty cutout. I've also had my BX23 suddenly roll off my tilted trailer when I shift into neutral to start it up. The brake seems to be pretty useless. I have to remember to start the engine THEN tip the trailer bed.

Have you discovered this about your BX23

I bought one from a John dealer. $400 realy looks nice, but I forgot all the trees on my Property! I'm now trimming trees and my wife is laughing at me Oh well she also laughed on our Honeymoon!! Ha! Ha!

I may already have my answer, but would like to get some input from the experts here. I have a B7610HST with 80 hours on it, and it has been fully serviced. Here's the problem. If the tractor is idling and I move forward a short distance, the hydro makes an audible and periodic clanking noise like a hammer hitting the casing. This does not happen at 2000rpm where I typically operate it. It this cavitation or something serious to look into? Thanks in advance.

hello... im interested too.. in buying another tractor..
i have no ideal what you guys are saying.. tractor numbers , i have no clue what it means.. the only two tractors i've really spent any time on is a farmall 706 [gas] and a farmall ''H'' ..
so im shure im waaayyy out dated !
im needing sominthing around 40 horse at the PTO..
i'ed like to have a loader and 4 wheel drive..
i know nothing about these ''new'' tractors.. been told by a friend over here in kuwait to be shure and get ''shuttel'' shift..
i hope someone can point me in the right direction.

loghouse95---You seem to be a man who tries to work things out. Of all the other problems I have had, now with only 80 hours on this 2360 tractor the tie rod end ( on the power steering actuator)has gone bad ! In your opinion when do you think a tractor should be considered a "LEMON" I have many post here to help in your decision Thanks

The B7200 was built in both gear and hydro and should be priced in the 5 to 6 range tops. I would wonder about a loader being on the L? The tractor should be worth about 12,500 depending on condition..

OK. I think I found where the work light harness attachess to my 855. There is a harness that has a connector coming off from it under the seat with nothing hooked to it. The rest of the harness goes on into the fender to the lights on the fender. I ordered my work light but wonder how it turns on. Does the light switch on the tractor have a certain position for just head lights and one for head lights and the rear work light?<br>

I just put up the photos up Sunday night. I'll add more now that we have a digital camera. My pole barn has a section that is insulated and heated. So that's where the dogs and I hang out when we are in trouble. I use it for a wood shop. I don't have a 15" planer, just a 13" Delta. My wife is pretty good and bought me a drill press for last Christmas.

Thought I'd move my responce over here for referance.

My OPINION and what I have done with fuel for tractor, cars and truck (all Diesel) is to buy #2 most of the time. When Temps are below +30 Deg F, I get either winter blended #2 or 1/2 #1 and 1/2 #2. I do not use any addatives, never have, probably never will. I have 300K on my 86 VW, 175K on my Cummins Dodge, 60K on the VW TDI and 50 hrs (1 winter) on the Kubota.

I only jelled once in 15 years of diesel-only driving. It was my fault because I did not pay attension to what fuel I bought. Straight #2 in mid January (-30 deg F) in my Dodge/Cummins. Towed it home, put the shop light on the fuel filter, then topped the tank (1/4) with #1. Ran fine from there.

Where you live in NC, you will probably never have jelling problems with a good, fresh #2 fuel.

From my understanding #2 is same as red only #2 has road tax and red has dye.

#1 is higher refined with more addatives and a higher cetane (comparable to gas-octane) rating. #2 has more btu content so should give better efficiency and power, #1 is less prone to tempreture related problems.

I purchased a 5' KK II this weekend for 989.99. I was impressed with the way it worked. I too had to file the top link to fit imatch. My pto shaft is too short and have a call into KK. Makes yard work fun.

I have about 30hrs on my Baby Boomer. Love the tractor.
My primary use was to be lawn mowing with options available, however, I have sacrificed mowing for earth moving via Woods tiller and FEL for this season. Having much fun!
