There's no ethnicity involved, BELIEVE me, the white folks are as bad as everybody else is.

It is best summed up by an anecdote my lawyer in the Bahamas told me when I complained about how long it would take to close the deal on my house, he is, BTW, a white Bahamian.

A Bahamian and a Mexican were chatting, comparing their countires & cultures, they both agreed they came from similar countries, warm climates, simple, God-fearing people, similar family values, etc, the two countries both had little but tourism to support the economy.

When they got to 'work ethics' the Mexican said they were pretty laid-back, the Bahamian stated they were also, the Mexican, not to be outdone, said they were world-famous because of their laid-back attitude, so much so that the world over, the Spanish word "ma�ana" literally meaning "tomorrow" has now come to mean "whenever we get to it". Proudly, the Mexican then asked if they had any such phrase as that in the Bahamas.

The Bahamian answered without even pausing "Tomorrow? No way man, we're NEVER in that much of a rush!"

He wasn't kidding either.

Jack, I have a few questions.

"The reason your local dealer does not want to do the warranty is that What New Holland pays the dealer most of the time does not cover what it costs to do the work."

#1 How much does NH pay dealers on warranty work?

"So you have X dealer selling tractors all over the country at a great price because he knows that he will never see the tractors again. He will not have to go and pick the tractor up if it breaks down."

#2 Does any brand tractor dealership "have to" pick up warranty work?

All in all I will agree, your best bet is to buy from a "good" local dealer.

There are a few JD and other tractors on Ebay that are located overseas (portugal, france, germany, lebenon, etc.) They are scams, don't fall for them. You can usually tell by two characteristics; price is much too low, sell will pay all shipping costs.

Yeah the driveway already existed.

The "plat" I refer to is a line drawn map showing individual property lines, pins, and lat/lon corrdinates for each individual property. My warranty deed references the plat. I don't/won't live in a sub-division :)

The plat does show an access easement.

Don't waste my money on an attorney to try and block him? or Don't waste my money on an attorney trying to get the land maintained? I think he has legal access... but he's also legally required to maintain his access.

Prescriptive easements vary by the state... In GA it's 5 years.

Anytime I get roped into doing something for friends or family, and I do mean roped, I'll try almost anything to avoid it, I always warn them right up front.

"This is a FREE job, so if there is any problems, just call in another contractor to fix the problem and take the cost of it off my BILL."

That usually sets everything straight right off the bat.

Although I did have one complaint recently, I delivered a bush cord of free firewood to a relative since we always have more than we can use. I later heard back through the grapevine that I had a) dumped it too far away from where it was to be stacked, although I was directed to the spot by the offended party, b) had left it in pieces that were too big, c) had mixed soft & hard wood together, doesn't everyboody need kindling too?, and worst of all, can you imagine the nerve of this, I had not ensured that the load was free of sawdust & bark and it left a huge mess he had to clean up!! I should be slapped for such a thing!!! LOL.

The old 300 is iron now that i got my kubota. I have manual steering on it and the only way to turn the wheel is to lift the nose off the ground unless you are moving. It's a good old machine but it's had it's day. The little bx2200 accomplishes alot more in less time. The 300 has it's purpose but it's not real productive. sorry to get off topic here.

I'm a little disappointed in the finish of the NEF rifle. Was shooting when it was very humid, didn't clean or wipe it that same day and the black oxide finish has developed a little rust already where my hands contacted the steel.

I've found that you can't shoot anything but the Hornady brand of 17Mag if you want accuracy. If you shoot CCI hollow points point for instance they drift all over. If you shoot on a windy day, good luck! I may get an additional barrel later chambered in the 22Mag and compare.

I can't really explain why the deer didn't eat them. I raised these at my parents' farm. The deer are rampant. But the vines did well early on and covered the garden plot the way they are supposed to, so the fruit was hidden. And the giant vines are thorny.

My little patch at my place got wiped out by deer immediately.

It'd be good to check code for the conduit. Here it's not required for branch circuits. When used, it can be left open at both ends and the conduit joints aren't glued. Most material is OK. The vertical sections from the trench do require conduit and it must rated for residential use. Frost loops in the bottom of the trench floor (likely around 2' deep with 6" of sand) may be needed. Mark the trench line using a laser level (conduit doesn't bend much). Don't dig from both ends without figuring out how to get the tractor off the trench--hope we aren't discouraging you too much.

Crunch: Thanks for the reply. I've never heard of cleaning an oil burner chimney either--especially not annually.

We had one of those stainless chimneys too w/o an enclosure. It probably was a homegrown installation and not properly done--inadequate support of the base so the weight tore the t-section. The top-section apparently keep blowing off in storms and was left off and without a cap since new owners didn't use the basement wood stove. Weather and no cleaning apparently deteriorated the liner and the inspection/cleaner guy said he could clean it but it wouldn't pass inspection. Given replacement costs, it was goodbye wood stove, but life with the insurance company probably was easier--if that's possible.

Yours likely was properly done. The best thing I can say for ours is that it provided a convenient hole in the foundation when we installed a heat exchanger.

You stated it has a skid loader bucket on it and I would assume the quick-attach mounting plate is different than the stock. If the assembly, including the tooth bar is any heavier than the stock bucket assembly then you have to factor that extra weight into or from what it was rated for. Also skid loader buckets tend to be longer heeled which decreases breakout force as the leverage has increased. Add to that the added leverage of the teeth which decreases break-out force.

Tell this guy below that the tractor in the picture is pulling what they call a beach comber. It is a common machine we see on Myrtle Beach all the time. It is used to pick up trash on the sand.

I have heard everyone say that the HST holds its position on a slope when the pedal is released so you don't need to use the brakes. My 4310 slowly creeps on the hills so I have to use the brakes - which really requires a hard kick to be able to pull out the parking knob. Maybe that's because I have been using it almost full time in B drive. I'll give it a try with A Drive.
