We stopped ordering our trucks with locking rear ends a few years ago. They never stood up to the torque or load applied to them anyways.

I figure why pay for something I don't need, and doesn't work anyways.

With a bit of weight on the drive tires it's pretty tough to make them spin anyways. If that doesn't work then it's lock the front hubs time....

Thanks for the reply. Since you work at a NH dealership what are differences between a TC-35D and a TC-35DA ? Looking at the current NH sales brochure indicates if it has a hydro transmission it is a DA. Is this true for a 2003 model ? Does this mean it has the rubber floor mat instead of metal flooring ? What are the other differences ? I have not seen the tractor yet, but I'am reseaching the prices.<br>

You also need to block the clutch open. Keep the clutch dis-engaged during storrage to avoid a stuck clutch next spring.

Build it into the middle of a workbench on wheels, mount a lift at the end like a tailgate lift on a truck. The whole blocks come up one end on the lift, get split in the middle and the finished stuff is at the other end for loading, NO BENDING AT ALL is required, just sliding along the bench.

Tom, it is a PTO-driven beach cleaner, they actually have a specially-designed machine for just that, we have one.

It was actually designed on the same principle as a mechanised potatoe harvester. It has a blade at the front which is nearly parallel to the ground, it runs through the sand, at a variable depth (surface to minus 6"), and loosens the sand and directs it up onto a vibriating mesh conveyor belt visible in that picture, the sand falls through the conveyor, the trash, weeds, shells, etc., goes up the belt and falls into a dump bin at the rear.

They now have a similar device which mounts on the front of a pontoon boat for harvesting weeds in lakes and rivers.

You have to have a set of dedicated SCV's in the system somewhere, if it already there so much the better.

Some folks here (with welding skills) have purchased cylinders and built their own. Short of that, your dealer should be able to point you toward a proper fitting system.

Aftermarket Tn'T kits tend to be regional. Mine came from Gearmore, but that probably won't help someone on the East Coast very much.

I'm sure you've figured this out already, but if you angle the mower as you put in on / take it off, you can do it more easily (with more clearance), then straighten it out once you've got it placed where you want it.

After one year I finally got the backhoe I bought up an running. I ended up putting a PTO pump and 10 gal tank on it. It pumps enough so that I barely need to run the engine much over idle (about 1500 RPM). More than that and the swing is too fast.<br>

Even before I was completed I had to dig out the beaver dam that's been bothering me. The tank was roped to the side of the backhoe barely hanging on but I could tell right away that it would work. It made short work of the sticks and mud that have been a pain in my side for years. My buddy looked at the ropes holding the tank on called it "Jethro'd up." So that prompted me to finish the tank mounts and now it looks and works pretty good.<br>

Of course the beavers rebuilt the dam that night so the next day I dug it out again and that night I snuck down there with the old sixteen gauge. There was one of the little monsters swimming towards me about 15 yards away. He didn't swim far. I'm starting to act like Bill Murray on Caddie Shack.<br>

I checked out the CCM tillers and they look good. However, the MR-120's and MR-145"s are out of stock. Next production run will have price increase of 10% plus higher shipping costs. They still have MR-100's with 34" width vs the MR-120's 42" width. Do you think I would be disappointed getting the smaller tiller. I have bx-2200 and five acres of land. Use would be for 3000 sq ft garden plus tilling up old farm grass to put in a decent lawn - about 2 acres worth.

I just helped a friend drive a well at his cabin. If you get to water and have air leaks you can still put a 1" plastic pipe down the well casing until the end is submerged.

I've also used a system such as Harvey described. I used my '76 Chev Monza to power the rig. I welded one rim to another so that the second rim stuck out from the car body, then jacked one rear quarter up so the rim(s) would turn. I think one loop of rope around the rim was just enough to pull when I tightened the loop.

I'm really not recommending you do this. In retrospect it was probably pretty dangerous. It's more an "I actually lived through this story." :-)

The WI DNR is responsible for the every 2 Years. Never the less, it is a good idea to have it pumped every few years to prevent the "personal" items from getting into the drain field. Pumping is cheap insurance.

There is plenty enough bacteria in the black water put into the system that renders the "culture" products wasted money. Too much bleach or other products like that will cause problems, though, for any bacteria.

I have spoken to my Dealer on my loader problems and they gave me a couple of things to check out this weekend when I'm back to the mountians. First he said to check the quick connects on the loader to insure that they are hooked up properly, stated they could look ok and operate under no load ok but if not totally connected proper this could cause my situation. If that was not the problem check the valve setting under the right side bottom of the tractor to see that it was set at the 10 a clock position. Thanks for everyones input.
