The 22 inch is a little strange. There are lots of 23 and 24 inch tires available in that size. Check Titan Tires, Firestone, Turftires.com, Gemplers, millertire.com or just type 'turf tire' into a search engine.

Why is so many people stuck on resale?
Got buy a new Chevy or Ford or Dodge and see what your resale value would be when you drove it across town to the other dealer.
Resale is greater with any brand if you keep it clean neat and have full records of everything ever done to it.

Last year built was 96' and they had 23.5 PTO horsepower. They are a nice tractor that seems to be have been a problem free.

I think things were gotten away with and probably still are that would shock most honest people. I could, (but absolutely won't) show you an apartment building and a house in two differnt parts of our county that were built on top of filled in garbage dumps in late 60's. To my knowledge both are still standing. I watched as both were done and could'nt imagine how building permits were issued for either. Strange things happen. Some day not "if but when" all of this comes to light who pays? Likely the owner will be the loser, or the Government. Who is the Government? Us, so we all share the burden of things that were "Goten away with" in the past. Enough from me. Frank.

It might be normal and the solution could be just reducing the ground speed a bit if the tiller is a bit large for the tractor. However, rad screens do have to be blown clean frequently when working in very dirty conditions.

Increasing the door height would reduce room for a header. I don't have a clue about header requirements for trailers, but our inspector wants me to replace some BS framing in our front porch door with doubled 2x10's before I install a pre-hung door. It's in a 4" unloaded wall, but there probably is one rafter over it and the roof has to carry snow. A door in a trailer wall is likely in a loaded wall.

I don't know how a standard residential door and framing would work for a trailer. Our old 40' construction trailer has 4" walls but the doors are nothing like residential doors. The doors still jam if the trailer isn't leveled right. I suspect that unless to doors are very light, 2x2's for the short studs wouldn't hold the door weight near the hinges without deflecting.

I suspect that what ever is done has to accommodate leveling changes and flexing if the trailer is moved. Maybe standard low-cost residential units may create problems. I think that trailers build on steel frames work very differently from structures built on masonry.

DeTwang; Thermal Dynamics I've heard of, Hobart has been around for years, but don't know a lot about either. I started out to buy a Miller Plasma cutter, the local dealer was a jerk. I came in dressed in work clothes grease and all, he could'nt seem to get me out of there quick enough. I drove across town to the Lincoln / Hypertherm dealer, he took a new unit, hooked it up, gave me a few basic instructions and told me to go to it. I bought the hypertherm 1000 on the spot. It's been a good reliable machine. I guess I'll just preach my old sermon on dealers that most who know me probably are tired of hearing by now, but here goes. I'm quite sure that all brands mentioned with proper care will last you a lifetime, so in my book a good dealer who is interested in having a happy repeat customers is much more important than the brand of the machine. I've ordered things from Harbor Freight several times, sometimes I was satisfied with what I got from them, but most things I was dissapointed with. Enough of my yammer. Frank.

I have done one on a 790 JD with a Yanmar engine. It sounds like the same thing. I used a pipe for an extension which brought it out to about five feet. It finally loosened. I now have breaker bar curved like a banana. A impact wrench with 800 ft pounds would not budge it.

Help!! My new JD 4310 seems to have very small holes in the rotating balls at the end of the draft links. I had to hammer them to attach to a hopper and now one of them seems stuck tight. Prior to getting them attached to the hopper I went to my neighbors and they wouldn't fit over his tiller. Any ideas on how to loosen the one that's still stuck to the tiller? Should I take the link back to JD and have them increase the size of the hole through the rotating ball?

The 7800 and 2910 are the same except for the "luxury" features on the 2910: 1700-1800 pound tractors, 29 gross/22 pto horses, very smooth 4 cylinder engines, 3 speed HST's.

The 7510 is actually in the same weight class- slightly heavier- than the 2200 and same HP class-slightly less. It has larger wheels and thus better ground clearance, but more powerful hydraulics and a two speed HST.

The project doesn't have that kind of budget. But I've been eyeing those things for a long time. It'll be a couple months (maybe less) before I get to the countertop, so maybe by then 'my budget' will allow for that.... :-) It'll be handy for another part of the project in that I need to cut their logo intop steel before the project is done.

I'm working on the thing at my mountain hideaway up north, and hoping to break away for another few days worth in early october.

But in case I don't come up with the cash for a plasma cutter in time, I need to come up with plan "B".

BINGO! we have a winner. One of the coupler's in front of my right foot was not fully connected. It was only out about a 1/8 of an inch. What a load off my mind. I have 62 hours on it and I thought I messed it up. Ijust purchased all my fluids and filters for my 50 hour service.

I'm looking for a tiller for my BX2200. I have about 3 acres of rough pasture I want to turn into lawn. Any suggestions on brands to consider or avoid? I see King Kutter makes a tiller in their XB line at a reasonable price. Anyone with good / bad experiences with one?

Iam pretty excited, this will be my first 4 wd with a loader. My dealer said it will be ready first thing Thursday morning. There is suppose to be a lot of rain again here from Ivan I guess it's going to get a little muddy, oh well I will get to try out the 4 WD.

I think I can help you picture a backhoe in a different way and will make it easy to run. Picture your backhoe in three parts,parts of yourself not the machine. Your left upper arm where your bicept is, to reach out with it, will reach out with the same part of the machine, the boom. To reach out you would be pushing to bring it in you would be pulling your arm in,to move the upper part of your arm to the left you move it to the left to the right, the right. Now your right fore arm. To pull you move it in to push you move it out. To curl your right wrist and hand you would curl it to the left, to curl your right wrist and hand out you would move it right. Now just hold the sticks while your arms do the digging and you got it.
