I recently purchesed a 35 acre farm and need a shop for my woodworking tools really bad. I have collected enough power poles, rough cut 2x8's, and roofing metal to construct a 24x24 building. My primary use will be the restoration of antique aircraft which are all very lightweight structures. I have cypress boards to use as on exterior walls. The building will be heated. My question is what type of flooring options do I have. I have a ton of lumber (seasoned rough cut pine 2x8 and 2x10) and would really like to do a raised wood floor similar to what I did in my small shed type building. My question is how do I attach the floor to the poles and square everything up? I really want to avoid the high cost of a concrete slab.

Denno, I used my 4' carpenter's level and my rears were dead plumb, even though I noticed an attaching pin on my mower deck suspension has worn a nice little groove on the inside sidewall of my left rear tire (*$&%&%&^!*). Not much help, but I'm glad to hear you are puting the problem back in your dealer's hands where it belongs. Good luck...

Not sure about the BX, but the bulbs for the 2910 were a bit better than what was stock on the 7800. The 7800 came stock with 15w bulbs, the 2910 bulbs are 23 watt. I changed my headlights to the 2910 set-up. Not sre about your bulbs, but you may be able to switch to the 2910 23w bulbs. It is an improvement.

I also went to halogen work lights, bolted to the ROPS without drilling, for use with the FEL and snow work at night. That makes the biggest difference.

The B7800f model was pre-wired for the rear work lights. You would need to check your model.

I am in the process of purchasing a TC 45. I am wanting to make the three point adjustment to a hydraulic adjustment, I plan on leaving the top link as a manual adjustment. There will be two rear hydraulic remotes added. Looking for information on what additional parts are required and where to purchase these items. Any help will be appreciated. <br>

I have a ford 1710 with a woods RM600. I will say this I have had nothing but good luck with my mower bought it brand new in 1986. It will cut grass with the best of them but over rolling hills it lacks because it don't have any front wheels so it don't follow the terrain like a lawn mower deck. Needs to be good flat ground. If you get one there is an optional front roller that is the closest thing to front wheels for it. I have considered customizing mine and adding front wheels don't believe it will be to difficult.

I traded my 4x2 Gator for a new HPX 4x4 this spring. It was a 2000 model with about 700 hrs., still in good shape, but pretty basic except for hoist, blinkers, and windshield. Far as I could figure I got around 5000 in real money out of it toward the HPX. Just from my experience and with that few hours plus being a 6x4 loaded with options I'd guess in the upper 6's. They seem to be a pretty tough machine, I've heard stories of 4-5000 hrs. without an overhaul. They're not a toy to us, they earn their keep, and never seem to have any problems. Frank.

I said it before and I'll say it again. warranty work does not pay it is a loss for the dealer in most cases which is why they are reluctant to do any other dealers work.

For us we will do others work. Why? Because we may lose money the first time but the costumer will be more than 100% satisfied with our store and return for future purchases/ services. Any body that walks through our door is number one. That is why we have the reputation we do with out all the in your face advertising. Word of mouth is better than any banner ad any day of the week.

I have gotten phone calls at 4:45 15 mins before closing. "my unit is down I am 100 mi. away"

My thoughts when that call comes "It is going to be along night" Cause I'll load and go to getting going that night.

We know that allot of our customers rely on there machines to make there money and down time is not good so we act as promptly as we can.

I wish I could say who we are but I do not want to spam. Some of you know and some of you have bought from us before and know our reputation.

There are a "few" other dealers in the country that will go to the lengths we do but not many.

Murf; Now you're making my life too complicated. I never knew there was a steam bell also. It's the sound of the old shrill whisle I'm after. As a kid the train went thru the farm we lived on, on a cold still winter morning you could hear that old whisle for miles before it got to us. This summer we attended a county fair where a fellow had about five or six whisles on a pole with an induatrial compressor beside it. He could sorta play a tune with them and allways attracted a crowd of every age from little kids to old goofers like me. I'm sure one could be bought on e-bay or somewhere, but I just want the challenge of trying to make one. If you know of a website or perhaps a book I could buy, that would be neat. The Mrs. says I'll get arrested for being a public nuscance, and "She aint a gonna bail me out." So before giving me any direction on the design maybe you ought to see if enough Tractor point members would pass the hat to get me out of the stony lonesome. Frank.

I used the round 6-pin style. This is the "old" style. All the modern set-ups use a larger round seven pin style. This type of harness would be available from your chevy dealer, auto parts store or any camper shop. <br>

You can also get an electric brake controller from a parts store or camper shop too. I made the mistake of buying a cheap Harbor Freight style controller for $60. A little more $ would get a nice control from a camper or trailer place too.

you might try treating them with some windshield anti-fog spray. Can't help with the sweat; I sweat like a sponge being wrung out. I carry a bath towel around my neck and wipe away. I go through about 2 1/2 gallons of water on a hard day.

You best bet is to borrow the tractor too. To get continuous flow requires some extensive plumbing on those units.

Not to mention it is probably a 3pt hoe. Very very bad to put a 3pt hoe on that tractor.

I believe Kubota is alone with the GST (power shift, power shuttle) type tranny in a CUT. Others have offered power shuttle but it does not provide for gear changes without a clutch. Yanmar is the first large company I know of to offer a power shift/shuttle CUT. It may have been early eighties or so. It had 3 ranges and in each range you could shift from a standstill R,N,1,2,3, without a clutch. I have a 33 HP version of this still. One drawback is having to go from 3-2-1 before reverse Large tractors still commonly have powershift.

You are correct.

The backhoe weighs 600-700 pounds and the FEL is rated for 460 pounds with the B/H attached.

So rolling 300 pounds into the FEL and lifting something under 1000 on the 3 point is not that far off.

I've been using my JD #48 hoe with a thumb (see my pic #8)<br>
for 3-yrs. and no problems as of yet. It's a thumb I designed and had someone else weld up. Deere had nothing to do with it, and it (knock on wood) has not caused any damage to the hoe.<br>
