Grinder, I was looking at your pictures. I like the one of the F15 on top of the car, don't see that every day. Any idea of how that happened?

As to the rear mount snow blower, what size do you have and what is the required PTO HP? I would expect the rear mount to be less expensive that a front mount.

I have been to Maine a couple of times, once in early October, very beautiful.

As everyone says, marriage is about giving and right now it sounds as if she is doing her fair share of taking, which sounds like counseling is needed. As has been said here, find a good church and get into counseling there.
I married young as well at 22. We have had good and bad times but the main thing was staying together and being faithful. If most people work as hard towards their marriage as they do at work, marriages would be in better shape. If possible slow down a little working such long days. You have to have time for her.
A woman is similar to a tractor, there are always things you wish you could change and some things you can(like Ken's R-4 tires) and other things you can't (limited lift height on the BX series). You have to learn to deal with the things you can't change, and most likely you knew the issues before you made the commitment. Most of the time people can learn to live with the small issues and sometimes you have to trade in and get another one but remember there will be issues with that one as well.
Also one other note, you state you are an a$$hole, so if you know this, maybe you should do some counseling on your own to try and improve yourself and the way you view yourself.

Yesterday I went to a local dealer to buy a tooth bar for my TC33. The dealer is large and sells both NH and Deere. In the show room their are 90% Deere lawn tractors, 3 NH and about 25 Deere, plus all kinds of Deere tools (string trimmer, chain saw ect). In the parts Dept again 99% Deere, shelves and shelves of Deere brika brak from wind chimes to candles you name it they had it with Deere on it. Next I went outside to look at the new CUTS here is where it got wierd. They had over 30 NH CUTS from 18-55hp, I climbed on all of them, I had good time. Next I thought I would do the same with the Deeres. They had 3 ( 2 new 1 used) Where were all the Deeres? From the time you walk in this place Its wall to wall Deere but, where were all the tractors? As I looked farther, rows and rows of NH Implements (hoes, mowers, rakes ect)not one new Deere, a couple used. I thought this was really odd a dealer so visably Deere had no deere CUTS or implements. I decided to pretend I was Interested in buying a new CUT and see what the salesman would say. I was shocked remmember other than the tractors in the yard you would not even know this place sold NH.I ask about a TC33 and a 4310. Which would I want and why. The salesman said they are both very good, I pushed for reccomendations. He said the Deere is good but, the NH is cheaper and has more standard equip. The NH has a newer design and is state of the art and Deere has now redesigned their tractors after the NH with the sloping hood and curved loader arms. I pushed farther what about service he said he had been working there for over 10 years and he thinks more deeres are in for service than NH. " Deere has had some problems in the past few years". Next question if you were buying which would you buy He said NEW HOLLAND. I then ask why more NH CUTS IN the yard. He said we stock what we sell and what the people what. I am not making any judgements or inferances on this matter. This post is not to start an arguement with Deere loyalist only to report what happened and to hear any opinions as to why this is what happened. Do they make more money selling NH tractors? Why so lopsided in the smaller tractor and brika brak arena? Again this post is only to provoke frienly debate. Thanks drv.

Pretty good comments about height and lower link arm width on BX hitches. I think that if a blade's lower link mount height requires the link arms to be above horizontal for mounting then it would move the blade closer to the tractor. BX arms are pretty short and that might limit the angling possible since the blade may run into the tires. A blade that's just as wide as the tire tracks can't be angled and still cover the tracks. Inexpensive blades tend to be light, and light ones don't cut hard ground very well.

One advantage to having a smaller tractor(NH TZ24DA), my ROPS is only 72 - 73". My problem is low hanging tree branches, I have broken several. This fall I need to do a lot of tree trimming.

bnrhuffman; I just read your last post on the lawn reseeding issue. You stated that your new lawn had a few weeds but nothing roundup could'nt take care of. I'm sure you allready know this, but just to refresh everyone's mind Roundup is a "Non selective" herbicide meaning it will kill any vegetation it is applied to except "Roundup Ready" plants. Roundup ready plants like RR soybeans, cotton, etc., have the RR ready gene added to their genetic base to make them roundup resistant, plants without that gene die when roundup is applied. FYI. Ha! That would be great... an M5700 on 2.5 acres! Actually, its not the same neighbor. And I should clarify... the M5700 is about two years old but has less than 200 hours on it, so maybe not "brand" new. That neighbor has a 180 acre horse farm and a barn-ful of toys for his machine.

WP - I have 93 hours on my mahchine now. I have had it a little over a month. I should have read my manuel a little more thoroughly. I guess running my company, being a father 7 a husband & maintaining my own property doesnt give me much extra time to do those things. Seeing that your from FL 7 being that your a flatlander expalins everything. If I lived there the HST would be the way to go. You deal mostly with sand. You have to buy rocks & deal on mostly level grade. On a typical lawn install here in New England, Which is usaully about 35 - 40,000 sq ft. I usually have about 20 tons of baseball sized rocks to clear out & load into the truck & haul off before I can begin to spread my topsoil. Occasionally we run into much bigger rocks. So basically landscaping in FL compared to rocky, hilly, clay infested CT is by no means simular.

Heres a vote the other way.
You didnt say anything about moving dirt, gravel or doing any loader work, grading or plowing. If you were planning on lots of this I would have to say go with the 3130. For just mowing, even some snow removal or spreading gravel, dirt or light landscaping, the 2910 would suit you as well. If I were looking for something for use around the yard only, I think I would go for the B7800.

I did mine a couple months ago and it worked out good. It wasnt much of a mess and when I was done, I felt more comfortable with the tractor. We are intimate:0.
My dealer, actually two of them that I called, said the same thing, no need to change hydro fluid. I changed all the fluids and filters when I did it.

I'm trying to figure out if stevenc is the Steven Corriher that lives in Mocksville, NC or the Steven Corriher that lives in China Grove, NC. Both Mocksville and China Grove seem to be within 30 miles or so of Corriher Tractor. Hmmm.

the dealer is right off route 8 in derby / ansonia. It's called derby ave auto sales. I ended up buying a used Kubota BX2200 2001 model with 180 hours for $6,000 and am very happy with it. I was ready to buy the iron horse and then came across this deal. Good luck..Jim

Am I the only one here who thinks its strange that BOTH rear axles are leaking on this machine? I wonder if something else could cause this besides defective seals. Like maybe it was dropped too hard during shipment or something. Don't mean to worry you DennoAce, I am just hypothesizing here.

mdajax, congrats on the tractor. They treated me real good over there, and I've been real happy with them. I was worried about the 3130 not being big enough, but it has proven me wrong time and time again. As for the hurricane, it looks like it is headed straight for us. I'am still behind from Charley, have'nt had time to replace my garage roof which was blown off as well as 1 of the 3 garage doors. Hope you fare well with Francis. Good luck.

I've inherited an L 1501 DT 4 wheel drive tractor with a Bush Hog 1840 QT front bucket. Included is a Howard Model HN Rotavator 48" PTO cultivator. I believe it was manufactured in the late 80's or early 90's. It now has 2071 hours and runs great. I've been told this is a grey market tractor but parts are interchangeable with a L-185DTP. Also, might you have some idea of it's value? <br>
