See. I told you I was dumb. I didn't know I could. So I could take the bucket off and put a blade where the bucket was on that tractor?

I am so new to this compact tractor and know very little about what options are available to me.

I am not certain why John Deere does that. I have orderd MANY parts to include the arm rest kit, and rental upgrade kit which are also listed as obsolete and recieved them. You can still order the parts. The dealer parts man has the responsibility to local that part either in the parts system or at another dealer nation wide. I will email Deere and ask them what this means. To my knowledge there is no other part number although I am sure there is always an exception. If those are the parts you want; go ahead and order them through your dealer or the Deere Parts website. If you run into problems; let me know and I will see if I can get my friend who is the parts manager at my Deere dealer to help out. He has always come through for me so far.

dcrouch, I believe you are referring to me in your complaint. I apologized to you already for the tone of my post but I remain unabashadly anti-spam. If that makes me a "self-appointed tractor god" (Archdean apparently agrees) then so be it, but I can't see how arguing against spam makes one a tractor god. Perhaps an anti-spam god LOL<br>

As far as the definition of spam goes, I typed "define spam" in a google search and the very first definition that popped up (link attached) said this:<br>

Note the last sentence of the definition. You are new here, and you may believe that in the context of your post the spam was appropriate, but these guys have been soliciting business in threads here on and off for months and many are getting tired of it.

Since we're talking volleyball, did anyone else catch Walsh spanking May after they won the gold medal? They had hugged and May fell down. Then she crawled away from Walsh who then spanked May on the butt. My wife missed it until I pointed it out on a replay. Then she had this look of "I can't believe that's on international television." None of my wife's male coworkers caught it either.

I would stay away from either of these. Nothing against them but the sell the tractors cheaper because they will never see them again. And if you don`t buy from your local dealer they will go out of business then where will you be? Who will do your warranty work?

Why not buy from Corriher or Tarheel

The 616 is a 16 h.p. (vs. the 19-1/2). I'm not sure if the engine is a CCKB or not.In any event they are all virtually identical except for decals and color.
A great low c.g. tractor.
The only problem I ever had was the point box, being soft aluminum, would throw the timing off because as you would tend to keep tightening the point box to keep it from moving, you would distort the housing. The way to solve this is to purchase a "high-top?" extension which raises the point box about 3-4 inches.

Ken, if you have a standard trailer axle beam in that thing it is remarkably easy to do the change-over.

The axle will have an industry standard sized spindle, all hubs, idler, electric or hydraulic brake style will slip on it. The coupler is standard also, probably a 3" wide tongue, the coupler also just bolts on. The hardest parts of the whole operation is running the brake lines and bleeding the system.

On the other hand, why make a bunch of work (and costs) for yourself, put a switch to a relay to 12v. to the brakes. As Art mentioned, I doubt you'll even need them. It is good insurance to have them operable though.

I have a great dealer in my area. It doesn't seem to matter what I order (except owners manuals. I have been waiting 8 weeks on that now). The longest I have ever waited for any part for my tractors was 2 days. Most of them are one day.

I wish there was an online resource for owners manuals for discontinued tractors.

I had a B6100E for 20 years and always had to use the glow plugs to start. When it was hot it would start without but with more cranking and smoke. It was better to always use the glow plugs and minimize the unburned fuel.

B6000E-do u always have to use glow plugs when starting your b6000e

4 months old,55 hrs.It took 2 qts hyd oil,made the cylinders feel solid again. Wouldnt think that 2 qts would make that much difference.Cant see any leaks,so I dont have a clue where the 2 qts went.

Bear in mind that the block of wood size will have to be predicated on holding the clutch pedal down just enough to engage the clutch pressure plate fingers just enough to hold the pressure plate a small amount away from the clutch disk. This can vary depending on the adustment of the clutch pedal. You will have to experiment until you find the right size block of wood.

Nothing looks cleaner then a blown driveway! If paved with down pressure you can clean it so the sun can burn off the residue even after being packed down some. Your snow fall seems to be somewhat less then we have here in central NY and I've seen larger drives just cleaned with the loader but then come spring it normally requires more lawn fixing.

BX for snow removal use your FEL or a blower

If you were to be considering a backhoe purchase then I'd be looking at the rear mount mower instead of the mid mount. My personal favorite is the mid mount.

A resister on a distributer line to the coil is a must. The starter will handle it fine and you can go to the single wire self exciting alternator mentioned in a prior post. Ground needs to be reversed to negative and of coarse lights will need to be changed. Gauges will also need modifcation if used.

When they are close to new we normally get about 1200 for used ones. When they are faded and dented or well worn we have sold them in the 500 dollar range.

Just to add a few words to clarify, you cannot run a circuit from the exhaust or outlet port of one valve to the inlet port of another to create a series. You must have a power beyond port on the valve that allows the continuation of the power loop. In series hydraulic circuits, the exhaust of all SCV's in the series return to the reservoir. The power beyond of the first valve routes the the inlet of the second, and so on.

Many SCV's allow for flow through the power beyond port even when the first valve in the series is actuated. The net flow is available for the PB circuit.

My CK-20 was just returned TODAY after 3 weeks+ in the shop. There were steel chips that got into the control valve spool and tore up the bore and jammed the valve. It was repaired under warranty but the valve took three weeks to get to the dealer. All is OK now but the power steering is very stiff. The hydraulic oil might be low and I'll have to check that tomorrow!
