I'd rather have the diesel too. For one, I have a far better chance of doing my own repairs on it and for another the diesel engine will probably outlast any hybrid drivetrain.

BigOrange - CONGRADULATIONS!!! You will love it! it will take you some time to get used to it, but once you do, You will be thrilled. Yesterday I climbed over a 32" high masoned rock wall. I put my speed selector in #2 cruised right up & over it. I didnt think the front tires would climb a 90 degree wall & was doubting I could do it, But to do the job I was on, Climbing this wall was the only was to get there. This thing is unstopable! As for the Grill guard, I just told my dealer I definitly wanted one on there & there was one when I took delivery. I didnt see a charge for it on my invioce.

Check the dipsticks before draining & if they are full add the same amount as you drain from the tractor. Diesel oil in the engine, Universal hydraulic/transmission fluid = to JD303 in transmission. FWD axle 80w-90gear oil.
Turning the key backwards activates the thermostart system (heater in intake manifold.) Email me for info on obtaining manuals.

Ace, Thanks. My Boomer was new June of '03, BUT I don't know "build date". The main was (and is) a 25amp ... BUT the dealer mentioned an "upgrade to 30a". There were times last winter when I "glow-plugged" it 3-4 times and it never blew the thing. Oh well, the next fix will be about 2 minutes. Thanks. JDL

I am in Missouri and I am waiting to take delivery Aug26 for my new 3130 HST with 723 loader. I too only paid 17,250 with Industrials. I think if you shop around and find a good dealer that you are happy with and really like a couple hundred dollars more or less is worth it in the long run!

The loader that Tafe is using on the compacts from LG is the Buhler 195 loader made in CanadaPrice seems alittle steep,I sell the larger unit 36-39 hp with the 4 cyl instead of the 3 cyl mitsubishi at 17,250.

I bought a BX2230 in April with 60 mmm and a bagger, I used the bagger several times when I could not keep ahead of the grass in the spring. It worked great Putting it on and off was more of a chore than it looks like it should be. We finally got directions from the factory See the details on AV8R web site for what works on installing, It really helped.<br>
I have not used my bagger much this summer, too much fun mowing so I don't let the grass get that long, in a few weeks the leaves will start to fall, then I will use it a lot. I have enough trees that I get about 2 pickup truck loads a week of leaves even after mulching them in the bagger. I would never get them cleaned up without a bagger.

Had to use FEL until my front blower arrived lst yr.
Blower has it all over the FEL - faster, neater, gets the snow out of the way.

BX for snow removal use your FEL or a blower

I agree; they don't have the most logical search sequence and it can really be frustrating at times. It would seem to me that is would be logical and best for everyone all around to assign a model number to the mower and list it that way or incorporate the MMM with the attachments and list it that way. But then again.......that would make too much sense. ;o) After 20 years of looking up and finding and horse trading for aviation parts in the Army; I guess I get lucky now and again and figure a way to find some things. Hope that gets you back to cutting with a level deck and enjoy the machine!

I have the MF GC2300, fairly comparable to the BX2300. Think carefully about what 3PH implements you'll likely be using and how/for what. I find the implements are capable, but tend to be on the light side. Also, the lack of position control can be frustrating at times. Most of my use is mowing and snowblowing, so it's not a huge deal, but there are times... I think there have been some other threads on subCUT Cat 1 limitations. Try searching the archives to find 'em quickly. Good luck with you decision!

My father passed away almost 2 years ago, and he had a 1946b john deere, which as women we have no idea how my dad started it, if there is a key or what we have to do to get it running. We are planning on selling it, but have to get it out of the garage first. If anyone can explain how to get this tractor started, it would be most appreciated. Thanks.

That is what I thought. More than likely you have bad valve seals. Like i said before it not not too expensive of a fix and only takes about 2 to 3 hours to do and no removal of the head is required.

I have done it before but not for a few months when they first came out. If I remember right it is just a cable that kind of looks lick a throttle cable and it has a threaded section in the middle and what you are doing is either taking slack out or add some to it by turning the threaded barrel. Lift the bed up and work the foot throttle and look back and see what is moving and it is pretty obvious what I am talking about.
