I'd put five thousand into that tractor on trade. I sometimes cringe as to sales peoples statement that aren't the gospel. Do some more checking and you might find out if there is anything major wrong with it. They are good tractors and we have some M-series in our area that work just fine with those hours on them.

I'm not clear if the lights come on during when shutting down the tractor or when turning over the starter at low throttle. If it's the latter I'd suspect the switch. I don't know if trouble shooting on this tractor may be complicated by any relays or solenoids.

If they don't come on when the tractor is running I'd start by seeing if there's voltage at both sides of the fuse. I'd also probably push, pull and wiggle the wiring harnesses a bit.

I did have a mystery problem of intermittent lights, a good fuse and voltage to the fuse. What I didn't check was for voltage at the other side of the fuse. There wasn't any and a dirty holder was the problem.

Did you mean the TC24D New Holland? The TC24 would be more comparable to the other tractors you are comparing with.

They are all good tractors, with good reputations for delivering what you expect. I would recommend that part of your decision be on the quality of the dealer you will be dealing with. That will make a big difference on how happy you are with your purchase. The wrong dealer can make the experience a real nightmare. Have fun.

Hey guys I'm a Ventrac and Steiner dealer just south of the Mason - Dixon line off 74. I have newer 3000 and 31 diesel and 31 gas demo's in stock. Also have Steiner 415,230,428 and a used 325 for sale. I'm just about 40 min to Quarryville. I buy alot of sheds there.

Vargy1, I recently purchased the TZ24DA and have been very pleased with the tractor. Its an excellent mowing tractor, I have the 60" MMM. <br>

I did consider the Kubota BX, which is also a good tractor. In fact before I decided to purchase a new tractor I made an offer on a used B7100.<br>

I knew the NH dealer from previous purchases for my old Ford tractor. Also being in Kentucky I really like blue, UK blue. <br>

Test drive both tractors and see which one you like best. Hope this helps.

Got IT guys thanks, I went to my temporary internet files in the "tools" area and cleared them both, Next thing ya know some of the new pics were there, Now I just need to eliminate the doubles from when I could not get it to work! Thanks men!!!

Here it is:

Some standard size rear implements would be difficult to use. For example, the standard moldboard height on a box blade is about 17". You would have a difficult time lifting the box high enough to move around. Many implement manufacturers now have a line of implements designed to be used with the sub-compacts, or limited 3-point hitches. Kingkutter has the XB line for example. The moldboard on the XB48 is 12" high, very well suited to a sub-compact.

This is also true with PHDs. Many manufacturers now have PHD's for subcompacts. The augers are ussually limited to 30"-32" due to the limited lift height. Try Worksaver or Farmstar, Speedco, to name a few. There are several units out there that will fit your hitch.

I noticed the same plug on my new L3130. As near as I can tell from the schematic, it is for the work light. I am disappointed in the Kubota schematics, I am used to following the GMC schematics where the circuits are numbered and therefore easier to find each of the end points and to trace them through.

I called Ricky and told him if they were missing a part that met the description of the disk; I had it. I noticed the part about drilling holes. Not too excited about that but I guess 2 holes won't hurt much. I don't plan to use the C range lock out or the ehydro feature switch block either. Looks like a really beefy kit though.

I wonder if the downshifting is the transmission, regardless of engine? My friend's 360 Ram is always looking for the right gear. I guess you'd get used to it, but it is annoying to drive occasionally.

I'd try heating the part that the bold threads into. Maybe wet the thread joint with penetrating oil to be sucked in as it cools. May take a few attempts. I'd also consider hitting it with a hammer while hot to help break loose the rust or corrosion. If the bolt head is good, try an impact wrench.

I own a John Deere 970 tractor and my clutch sticks sometimes. it is very expensive to fix. I believe the same clutch is used in the 870 as well. Has anyone had these same problems in either model, and if so what do i do to fix it?
