I WAS LOOKING AT A TRACTOR THAT IS A MF40 MODEL#9A T50080 I DO NOT KNOW THE YEAR,IT HAS A 3 CYL DIESEL ENGINE.THE TRACTOR HAS A FRONT LOADER AND A BACKHOE ON IT.EVERY THING SEEMS TO WORK EXCEPT FOR THE CLUTCH,YOU NEED TO START IT IN GEAR TO MOVE IT AND SHUT IT DOWN TO PUT IT IN ANOTHER GEAR.DOES ANY ONE THE YEAR OF THIS TRACTOR FROM THE #'S.AND HOW MUCH WILL PARTS AND LABOR BE TO HAVE A SHOP INSTALL A NEW CLUTCH.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD PRICE FOR THIS TRACTOR.

I took DRankins advice on the JD4100-4110 clearance issues with the seat bracket to heart. I found Green Mfg from good feedback from a few sites...I use a 12" auger on a 20 HP/17 PTO machine and have zero problems. Soil conditions are key with success. I have no doubt a BX has the power for a 12" , you might have to ask on which model digging depth wise (auger length) if you can handle a 42" in length unit.
EM5000 is a 42" unit, the JR4000 is the same but smaller length auger (32")and will absolutely fit your machine ...You will find Green mfg private labeling for a few different suppliers as well, you can buy direct from them as well. There prices just recently went up because of the steel spikes.

Corriher has a sister company that is a Kubota dealer. i bought mine from them in early march. they are a dream to deal with. all dealing were done over the phone, they did not know me from jack.they spent several dollars on long distant calls to deal with a customer that they really had no idea could or would ever buy this thing. they delivered 75 miles to my house and picked up a check. when it left the dealer they still had no proof i was a real buyer. tractor arrived one hour before i really expected it nnot late. these two dealerships are owned by the same people and i have a hard time believing run so differant. the Kubota dealer is also a JD and bobcat dealer. I WILL BUY FROM CORRIHER AGAIN, VERY PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH.

I have used the machine for its intended design and used the attachments I have for it. Whats left is to share feedback, thats all I can offer.
Again for serious brush hogging needs I guess 30 hp machines and larger would be the best suggestion. The 513 fit and worked on the machine, and was orignally sold together as a set
(I have the orignal documentation) It was used on small sapplings and high weeds. Not sure if they even sell the 513 anymore. I had no use for it so I traded it in along with other attachments towards a FEL.
I also use a 12" auger in typical soil (in low idle), and use a 61" bucket on all types of materials with no ill effects.
We have had a few discussions on what should be used or not on these machines. And it comes down to this "to each his own". Certainly the advice given on the board is always something to consider strongly, and is always verified and compared with in my case, with the dealer. So far I have not exceeded the limitations of the machine with oversized attachments, and only use it for what it was designed for.
Pretty straight forward....

hey i was using my dads b2400 kubota and the front drive axle or steering start making an odd noise, i rwally can't describe it,its just odd, it does it off and on but only in 2 wheel drive, i checked all the basics fluid levels, leaks etc. but nothing, please help me, thanks you guys are great

Has anyone ever built their own tractor mounted wick-bar?<br>
I could either mount it to my FEL or to the 3pt hitch somehow - which would work better?<br>
I want to use it in my clover fields.<br>
I'd appreciate any advice/plans that anyone has.<br>

That sure sounds like a great price. BrokenArrow is right, though, that if you get a FEL for it 4WD is a must. I think most people here would hate to have a tractor without a FEL. Also consider that 2WD tractors are harder to sell and have poor resale value.

$That pic is the exact one I'm getting. It's expensive but various tax credits and writeoffs will pay for much of it. After 3-4 years it will probably sell for a large fraction of what I paid for it. Hard to pass up. BTW, I'm becoming convinced that $8900 was a good price for it. I have found two 150XP chippers of the same year with diesel engines of the same hp rating and they are both going for around $14.5k. I would have liked a diesel, but not at a $5.5k price premium.$ Used Brush Bandit 150 12 quot chipper
