Blueman, sorry about your grandfather, but I think that V-6 is going to have its hands full pulling that trailer especially once you get closer to Pittsburgh. I'm not sure what route you are taking, but if you get into the mountains in WV, I know it will really pull down on it. We used to pull 2 four wheelers on a 6 X 10 trailer with a Ford F-150 V-8 and it would really pull it down on Interstate 68 in MD & WV.
Good luck and be careful and remember if it is an automatic, no towing in overdrive. If the truck doesn't have a transmission cooler which I doubt it does, keep an eye on the temp. guage.

Thanks a ton for the replies guys. Last night I went to the "not so local" farm supply store and got 2 fuel filters, an air filter and something they recommended to add to the fuel if you fear you've got water in it. So..... I got home and removed both fuel filters, drained the tank dry, replaced the filter under the tractor right before the pump. Added about a quart of "good" fuel I just bought last night. Bled that by letter the pump suck it out just to get some clean fuel in there. Replaced the next filter and the air filter. Filled up the tank and let 'er rip. Fired up after about 3 tries and hummed like a kitten. I think I've get her fixed up now. Man I hope so.

A couple of thoughts: I don't know how hot the oil is getting but if you grab the hose going to the hoe and it's too hot to hold then maybe you're overworking the hydraulics. If it's temp problem, as Mark mentioned, some oils maintain their high temp viscosity better than others but just slowing down the work a bit may be better.

I don't know how much the tractor is bouncing around when doing the loader work and I assume the dealer checked relief pressures on the hoe valve and the tractor system relief. It's possible that shock loads when hitting bumps are enough to open a relief valve that's set to spec--especially if the hoe isn't fully retracted during transport. You might see if going slower slows the leak-down.

TO ANSWER THE 1ST QUESTION,,Rhino builds New Hollands backhoe,,if you find a Rhino Dealer,like Tarheel Tractor ( a sponsor of this room) it is the same hoe,EXACTLY,but about $800 less,,if financing it with a NH tractor,,ya cant get the 0% rate,,it is about 1% higher(the finance rate)

Is this trencher for a BX2200? I can give you the Kubota number for the B-Series, but I don't know of a Kubota trencher for the BX. The B-Series is a B5550A, but only recommended for the 2710, 2910, and 7800. Maybe someone else could help here, but I don't think there is a trencher for a BX2200.

What would those certian circumstances be when a CUT is better than a truck? I was addressing ESCHLAK's question about his road and being uphill. Around here, for a even a truck plow to be effective you to reach speeds of at least 15-25 mph which to me doesn't seem practical or safe or a CUT. Just my opinion. Hey, and nice equipment!

Hello Guys,

I just made arrangements to get a Ranchhand front bumper and grill guard, steps, headache rack and spray in bed liner on Thursday. I figured if I'm jumping in for a new truck I might as well go in with both feet. I told my wife that it is not really like spending money, its protecting our investment. The heavy welded steel will make sure that the front end does not get banged up.

I have not told her they make a back bumper too!
