I maintain a 1800' gravel airstrip with a 5' blade. The "bones" get blown off to the sides by propwash. I reverse the blade and drag the gravel back to the center with the blade at a 30 degree angle. Then with 2 windrows of gravel in the center I drag the blade with no angle at max speed. This throws the windrows out and leaves a slight crown. I have to use extra wieght (nieghbor standing on the blade) to get it to drag enough gravel. Then we compact and oil. Perfecto! Haven't needed the box blade for this yet.

I've used the 48" box in my landscaping projects alot. Haven't needed the tines down but once. The angle set by the top link is critical and takes practice. It's an art.

I have a Kioti LK3054,FEL,and 72inch rear mower if I had it to do over I would buy a B7800 Kubota. This LK3054 has been broke down a lot and the Kubota I had was 13 years old with nearly a 1000hrs and no problems in that time.

What would you pick if you had to do it again

I'm building wood skids with casters I bought from TSC at10$ a pop for my impliments. My garage is 32' by 44' with two 9 foot doors in the front and two 9 foot doors in back.i've only built 2. one for my bb and the easy one was for my bh i just used a 2x10 with two casters for under the front and let the rear roll on the tail wheel. Haven't figured out the rake yet. I'm only doing one at a time so the cost is spread out more.

Michael: I would like to encourge you to hang in there and determine to have your issues resolved to your satisfaction. I can tell you from experience that even though you took delivery of a damaged machine you can have it corrected no matter where you live in the USA. i.e.Be patient but begin remedial attempts within 30 days of delivery and as some one said write down date time etc. on everything. New Holland has a good reputation with the farmers in my area so I'd say if you talk to the right person you can get results. The dealer may be a real poophead but that doesn't mean you have to accept it.

I need help with a fuel gage on a LK3054 which is reading full all the time. I replaced the sending unit and after running unit realized that didn't fix it as I had thought. Dealer and Kioti USA will get a call 07/26/04 but maybe one of you on the board can help in the mean time. Thanks<br>
Oh,by the way the CK30 is a nice machine but after the trouble I've had in 72hrs with this machine I will not buy another Kioti. Dealer said he'd give me a great deal on the CK30. $10,000.00 for the LK3054 on the $18,889.00 for the CK30,ah ya gotta love these guys.

a 42" brush hog is really what the 2210 can handle. The 48" models are pushing its limits on power. Shame you don't live closer to me. I got a mint 42" landpride for sale. see clasifieds.

Dave, price was for the FWD unit with Bushhog FEL and canopy.
No dislikes about the tractor, but I've really not run it enough for a complete evaluation yet.

I have replaced the grease gun coupler end with one that can be adjusted with a twist of the end. This made it very easy to lube the tractor with very little effort. Thanks for the feedback and info....

Noticing that as I take the mower deck off and put it back on that the lift arms are always in a different position relative to the stops on the frame. Seems that I can get them adjusted perfect without the deck, and as soon as the deck goes on, they are about an inch from the stops at full lift. Does this happen to you as well? I am getting tired of (and really don't see the reason to) readjust the lift links every time I put the deck on and off. The main reason I used to re-adjust was to get the deck a little higher off the ground at full lift, but I hav efound that just taking it off is easier if I am boxblading or bush-hogging.<br>

If you were useing a synthetic 2 cycle oil,you can go to 60 or even 80/1, but with petrolium oil it would be the end. Also ,regular motor oils have detergents and are high in ash,both of which will destroy a 2 stroke.

Well just a couple tines on some large boulders I pooped up while raking some clay soil in preparation for loaming. And man did I have a great time doing it. Haven't had much time to play with the new tractor and attachments, still getting used to them, obviously. Try not to break anymore but I have a feeling I will need to buy some replacements and spares. By the way how much do tines cost for a Frontier LR1072? Anyone know? And am I being to rough on my attachemnts?

The CK20hst weighs 2000lb, 12" ground clearance, and 105" long. The Kubota BX22 weighs 1400lb, 6-7" grd clearance and 93" long. The loader will lift 770-1000lb where the Kubota states 470lb. Tractor, FEL, Backhoe should be around $17,000 to $18,000. Plus your attachments and tax. All of the attachment will fit because it is a Cat 1, and will pull the 18' trlr with know problem. I would recommend filling the rear tires only to give you more traction with the loader when the Hoe is off. The hitch is about 13-15" off the ground. I have sold 12 of these tractors so far and have had know complaints at all. They love the power of this little 20. But take a good look at the CK30 with the tilt steering, 3spd hst. This tractor is really a step above the 20. One more thing, you may find a cheaper tractor with the main brands but it will not be as tough and strong as the Ck20. The heavy axles and weight can not compare. Good luck and enjoy your new CK20 or 30.
