You're likely aware of the difference between slip and grab hooks. Some people do use slip hooks on loaders but I think grab hooks are more common.

For securing bulky loads onto a loader bucket (or to a trailer bed for that matter) load binders are useful. Without binders it is nearly impossible to get enough slack out of a chain for the load to be really secure. Often a load shifts a bit during transit and the chain can slack even more.

Good it seems to be fixed. If you do pressure checks by hooking a gauge into the work ports, I'd be sure to shut the tractor down and work the valve both directions before disconnecting anything. If there's pressure in either the gauge or the loader return hose when they are disconnected it'd give you a bad time reconnecting the hoses..

If you're checking with a dealer for pressure specs, you might ask about the loader valve. I'm assuming it is a single return hose type; that it is in the system ahead of the 3ph and it is a power-beyond rated valve. Some single return hose valves are PB rated and some aren't. If it isn't PB rated then the loader and 3ph shouldn't be operated at the same time. A heavy load on the 3ph could ruin the loader valve if the loader was operated during a 3ph lift.

I paid 17,700 for my 3130 HST w/LA513 loader. I too looked at used machines, but decided against it. Atleast buying new, you know what you are getting.

KW, my lift capacity at pivot pin is 1345. I guess I would be alright with the BG5. The BG5 weighs 600 lbs, it just sounds like alot, compared to the 1345 total lift. It's almost half my lift capacity. Any input from you would be greatly appreciated.

Machinerylink dot com says it should be worth $16-17k. Sometimes they're a little high, but clearly your dealer was low.

My BX2230 also came with .8 hours on the meter. A small amount of time is normal on a new tractor, just like a new car with a few miles. I also had some minor flaws in FEL paint and a dripping hydraulic line, both quickly fixed by me and the delivering salesman. The one thing he couldn't fix was the "bagged out bushing" on the FEL mount (see website). After I didn't accept the lame excuses, he got another ordered and it eventually was delivered to me where the salesman and I replaced it.<br>

I have been satisfied with my dealer and would recomend them to a friend. It must be said that they all need to be watched and called on their shortcommings, with tact. Usually there are no problems, but like Cheif said, I would never had accepted the delivery if not happy with what was being delivered. BTW it took 12 hours to burn the first tank of fuel off.

I nearly took out a floor joist on our wood deck backing into the basement garage when I forgot to fold down the ROPS. Too a bit out of the joist board and ruin a good pair of draws when that 2 x 10 snapped back into position with thunderous pop! Now I remember to fold the ROPS down. I have come close to forgetting a few times but caught myself. CRS is horrible! ;o)

I am thinking about a tz24 with a loader. Does this loader work well? Does it have the power to lift and move dirt? Is the longevity good with the New Holland equipment compared to the John Deere?

yes it WAS the kind I was making. A real man admits his failures! I started making one and quit! LOL. After making a few pieces I realized that what I was making was not going to work in the area I am and for what I want it for. I need to buy one! The RIGHT material would run me more than I care to spend on something that may not be as efficient as the older ones. I met my match with this one.
LOL. Also those bucket forks I made worked great but now I see what a 3pt fork/pallet mover looks like and realize I shoulf of use my material to make one of those instead of bucket forks. Its hard to see the front of the forks and a 3pt system would of accomplished what I wanted to use it for much better. I have bucket forks now for the rest of my life anyway!
Like I said," I am looking to buy an old cultipacker or a section of one so anyone knowing of one around let me know, I am looking for an excuse for a road trip anyway.

Steve, it's like retribution! I hate those stinkin blackberry vines. Until now they've had the upper hand, grabbing my clothes and scratching the heck out of me while I sweat and curse, yanking them out of the trees and dragging them off to a burn pile. Even the vines that have been dead for years never seem to decay. Now I can get rid of them more-or-less painlessly. Take that you barbed pieces of SH**.

My manual is for the 4110 & 4115, so I dropped by my dealer and checked both models out. The 4110 does not have the cruise control and parking brake fittings whereas the 4115 does.

I have made up my mind to buy the 4110 and I would like to have some information on EZ Weight adapters that allow use of the Lifting weights instead of the regular wheel weights.<br>

Are these worth the time or would it be better to use regular wheel weights, it seems there is quite a savings by using the EZ's. I don't have my tractor yet but I would to know what size to order,should I decide to go that way.I have read pro and con on them. I heard Terry might Quit making them! <br>

To those out there who installed the shims on the JD 790's did the dealership say anything about the effect this would have on the warranty. I sp/w JD corp today and was told that if you put a JD part on the tractor that it shouldn't void the warranty. I still have 1 year left on warranty and don't want to void it. <br>

Was also told that if you have the dealership do the servicing and they differ from the "suggested" intervals, fluid in the book that it doesn't effect warranty either as they may know what works better in particular area and local dealership has the say so to do that. <br>
