Hi, bmeyer. There are a couple of pics of my favorite style of hook installation in my profile pics. I had my dealer do the work before delivery. The gusset makes for a very solid point from which to lift. I agree that locating the hooks at the ends of the lift arms makes the most sense for balance and weight distribution. You could add a third slip hook in the middle to use for stablizing loads or as a single lift point for lighter lifting and transport. Regards, Pete

thanks last nights it was my ratchet and screw driver working together to get me with a skid loader. It is not fun to have to get up in the middle of the night to change your sheets.

I am not really saying that they are a terrible dealer. What i am saying is that they have no problem taking your money and shipping you your tractor 200 or 1000 miles to your door then leave you in the dust when it comes to service. I really do not want to pick on them particularly. For one I due not want to get sued for liable. For 2 I have not "personally" dealt with them but have been around when these buyers try to find some one local to do warranty or any other type of work to there tractor.

Yes I did say that New Holland recommends either the 10 amp or the 8.5 amp depending on what is available we install the 8.5 amp. We do acquire them locally it is a lot cheaper to do it that way then pay for shipping. Yes It should have been covered under the warranty at no cost. There is no campaign on this issue which is where we go and fix or modify every single unit there is how ever a service bulletin to fix or repair as needed. Our store by it self has at leased 2500 units sold with maybe 3 to 8 that needed the breaker. It is not a wide spread problem and the conditions have to be perfect for the fuse to pop which I have already explained those circumstances.

You need to rent my dog (85 lb. female yellow lab). She goes 24 hours between outings and can burn a spot 12 inches in diameter each time that won't regrow for about a year. All you have to do is dribble a drop or so of another dog's urine at each fencepost.

Michael526, I can understand your frustration about your experience. I realize this is after the fact but your biggest mistake was to allow the dealer to unload that tractor and equipment off the truck. You should have immediately refused delivery and demanded your money back. If things started off this bad with the dealer and his equipment; it will NOT get any better down the road. Sorry to hear about your troubles and I sure hope you can get things worked out to your satisfaction. Anyone reading this post who may be considering buying a tractor or ANY flavor or color should heed this example and if it is not right at delivery; DO NOT allow them to unload it. REFUSE it and demand to have your money refunded. It is a good chance the dealer will not allow you a refund but at least you have prevented the dealer from dumping on you. In most states there is usually a cooling off period or grace period in which the dealer must allow you to return the machine. USE this provision in the law if it applies in your area. Find out BEFORE you buy. The old addage certainly applies here; "let the buy beware". Again sorry for your problems and hope you can resolve them.

Not sure about Deere, but Kubota service manuals are available from a dealer for I think about $65. Haven't found a source other than the dealers yet. Try your dealer.

A very good point Billy, mine is stored in a sealed drum at the opposite end of the shop from the furnace, and where I do my welding, etc., and I check it regularly for any signs of leakage, spillage or fumes.

Diesel fumes, especially in still air like indoors, can be a real threat, they are heavier than air and will creep along the floor. If they build up to a concentration that will support combustion and there is a source of ignition say good-bye to that building.

Check out the Johne Deere website. They recently posted information on the new 4020 series tractors. Actually my grandfather just purchased the 4320. 48hp turbo and please note that these are not Yanmar diesels anymore.

It is shimmed by installing or removing shims under the injection pump. You will need to spill time the engine to determine where you are at. If you have a fax number I can provide you the procedure.

Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose when buying from a far away dealer and it appears that you definitely came up snake eyes this time.

I agree with the others. Be honest and admit your mistake and ask for his help. If he's a good business man, he'll help you. If he doesn't, the only alternative is the District or Regional NH rep.

Your pic. # 11 looks a LOT like what I used to have at our deer camp.

Notice I said "used to have", I spent a few days in there with a small dozer and scraped all the topsoil (gumbo?) out of the way and laid down a few inches of pit run from an exposed riverbank deposit we have nearby.

Now you can drive anywhere on the property along the trails in just a golf cart.

My opinion is that it has to be looked at for what it is.I feel the strenth and power is decent for it's intended purpose and size.My biggest issue with the bh is having to move the machine so frequently when digging.
