Facts may be facts, but if this was a new car, it would be returned to the dealer under our state's lemon law. There is a fundamental design issue here that the NH engineers have missed, and installing a circuit breaker is making it convenient to avoid the problem. Maybe when one of these tractors catches fire due to an electrical overload, we'll see how fast NH gets around to determining the root cause of this problem and then maybe recalling all these models with the defect. I don't need my electrical engineering degree to sense that something is fundamentally wrong here, and NH's official field repair to install a circuit breaker to fix this problem is quite frankly embarassing.

DRankin and all, thanks for your all of your posts; it is nice to know this isn't the "Starship Enterprise" and that I'm not going (paraphrased) where "someother tractor hasn't gone..." I will check out ALL brands and options for wheel weights, and will post my selections when they occur.

I sell stuff on ebay, mostly small garden tractors and equipment. Be very careful who you buy from. If they accept pay pal check to see if they are pay pal verified. If they have good feedback do more and check what Items they have bouight or sold. I know of people who bought from someone with 120 positives and no negatives and all wonderful comments. They were burnt on a $8,000 item to find out the 120 items were 10 cent junk items the scammer bought and sold to build his feedback. Anyone who has you go through a different email because they are having "trouble" with their ebay email is a scammer. If you bid, go to the help and request the memebers contact info and call them if it's a high dollar item. You can nip stuff in the bud tight here if the number is out of service. I put in every description that if you come to see it and don't think it was described you aren't obligated. Email the seller and ask them if they guarantee their description.

The best advice I can give anyone on ebay is buy local and DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT wire and $$$ unless you have to and be sure to do it through ebay not outside of ebay. It does not benefit the buyer to do it off ebay. If you buy local, go pick it up and if it wasn't described right refuse it and file a complaint through ebay's square trade. I've got a lot of good deals on ebay but I picked everyone of them up with cash in hand.

FYI..not sure about TN but here in CT If I buy my Super UDT through tractorsmart.com it's cheaper (few cents) even with the shipping than the local dealer and you don't need to lug it home from the store. The UPS guy does all the work.

If you are nice enough to the UPS guy and tip him every Christmas, you might get him to change it for you too!

Go with the UDT. For the amount of time you need to change it it's good stuff.

Help...Can anyone give me some guidence re mounting this thing to a L2900 3pth? Shouldn't be that hard, but I made the mistake of reading the Sitrex excuse for an owners manual.Would have been better reading the Italian version and I don't speak Italian. Anyway, how does the right side arm mate to the mower??

I know this started as a kubota thread, but since reaton mentioned other equipment I would have to say that not all HSTs are equal. A JD EHydro with LoadMatch is ideally suited to loader work IMHO. LoadMatch modulates the transmission to match the load and keep the engine in it's peak torque curve while preventing any possibility of stalling when driving into a big pile of material.

A box scraper is an excellent ballast as mentioned and the 7510 series is small enough for many barns to manuver in for easy clean-up.

John, thanks for the tip. I'll stop by Lowes and give those drywall masks a try. A good easily obtainable mask is all I really need since I don't worry much about bees and wasps.

Both of you guys are on it! I have NEVER bought anything in my life and had better service than when I bought my TC40. He made me feel like I was the only customer in the county even though I bought from 2 county's away. He made the DEAL, not The brand name. (although getting a discount had a small little bit to do with it) LOL
I had responses from, "call me when you want to buy" allthe way to, "I can meet you on the highway to save you 60 miles one way to sign the papers if you want" GEE who do you think I delt with?

I can relate, I breed and train Jack Russell terriers (terrors?). The blood stock used to create them was a good part beagle, the JRT's also like to 'graze' frequently.

I completely agree with your sentiments on the string trimmers, I think they do equal damage to my back & the weeds.

The ratio is completely variable depending on what you're trying to kill. Grass for instance doesn't take much, weeds and raspberries (particularly nasty on car paint jobs) take a pretty good dose of anything to kill them off. We found that (for a 45 Imperial, 55 US gallon sprayer) a gallon of strong (pickling type) vinegar, a 10 pound bag of de-icing salt and about a bottle of dishwashing detergent.

I don't think the noise from a loader control valve makes much difference in the greater scheme of things.

I would think that the diesel that powers it & moves it around would make whoile lot more noise than any valve assembly could. I know the relief valves sometimes chatter, but that would happen regardless what type of seal is used.

Also keep in mind the risk of torque-overs when towing from a three point mounted hitch. Raising the towing height above the center of the rear axle adds another moment arm that increases the risk of a torque-over. Keep the three point mount at the same height as the rear axle.

I'm trying to change my oil for the first time on my 5320 and i dont know what size allen wrench i need. I've tried a 10mm but it was a bit too small I called my JD dealer and no one, not even the mechanic knew. I think its a 12mm but I'm not for sure.

What size allen wrench do i need for 5320 JD oil plug

Well kyvette...

Everything that was said before still applies. You MAY have a sticking or binding pedal or a return spring that is out of adjustment or some other mechanical snafu.

Jerry summed up the pedal sticks because of "hydraulic shock load" on the system pretty well and I have found under certain load conditions mine will do exactly the same and I have learned to deal with it just like Jerry, by depressing the pedal back when it happens.

I believe Art mentioned the lighter, higher quality hydraulic fluid and that may help you too if you are experiencing a load condition.

I believe us folks with HST's seem to have gotten into the habit of just lifting our foot off the pedal a bit when we want to slow down or stop and while under "ideal" conditions, that usually works...but sometimes it doesn't! As long as the pedal isn't bound up or there is a mechanical problem, I'm not too sure I find this "sticking pedal" scenario a bad thing. At least I know my HST is coupled up and providing plenty of power to the drivetrain.

I used many tractors over the years. After a long illness I sold my faithful MF 135 and downsized to a 1433 because I'm unable to do all I use too but I still can do light tractor work. I've had the 1433 for 8 months and it works great but if you are going to buy one, make sure to have the tires loaded even though it has 4wd. It is light and loading the tires makes an amazing difference.

Everything is pretty much straight forward and if you are mechanically inclined at all, you should have no problem. I have a TC33D HST and have changed the filters and oils regularly myself since new. (300 hrs now) I find I loose about a gallon of hydraulic fluid when servicing those filters. Your manual will tell you the capacity of your engine oil.
