I agree with the comments on concentrated loads, and the thoughts on impact loading. Although, presumably, even an axle (or trailer) rated for 3000 lbs would have a safety factor built-in to compensate for sporadic extreme impact loading due to road conditions. I would think that the maximum capacity rating would be somewhat lower than the load that would cause failure. And, would hope that the trailer designer took impact loading into consideration before applying a load rating to their product.

Looking for infomation/help. The Kubota.com site has a link to "prior models" it gives excellent information about model numbers, years mfg, HP, etc. Does anyone know of a similar source for John Deere tractors? The old tractordata.com site is no longer available.

You guys correct me if I get this wrong.....

In diesel talk, an engine running at PTO RPM but doing no work is said to be a high idle. The same engine running at 1000 RPM and doing no work is at low idle.

It is the application of a load on the engine, and the injection of more fuel by the governor to maintain RPM under that load, that adds strain to the engine, not simply setting the RPM at high range.

The other problem with foam we discovered is that when the tire is worn out and has to be replaced, the old tire has to be cut off the rim. It was almost cheaper to buy two new rims and in hindsight I should have.

It also affects the ride quality and makes pressure adjustments impossible, what ever pressure you specify when the tire is filled is what you have for the life of the tire, period.

First thing to always check is to see if all of quick disconnects are connected properly. Sometimes brush can grab one and almost disconnect it. It may look connected right and not be.

Sounds like a fair price to me. There was one for sale in my area with a FEL & bushog, asking price $13,750 - it is still sitting there. How comfortable are you with the dealer and his after-the-sale support? A good dealer makes all the difference over the long haul.

OK.. I'll crack the manual again and try pulling it off this weekend. The guy that delivered it, showed me how to remove the bucket (took 30 seconds). What threw me is the JD website makes it sound as if the "stand" is an option. The dealer 'forgot' to put on the grille guard (which they're sending me) and I wanted to make sure they didn't overlook anything else. Really like this 2210. Thanks again for your comments.

Frank summed it up pretty well. Dealer relationship should be as much a factor in your purchase decision as any consideration you are giving to the tractor and it's options.

All brands have service departments so that tells you they all break in some regard. Find a dealer you can forge a good relationship with. Not only for service work but any additional items you may want to purchase in the future.

Go to each dealer and "test drive" each unit you are considering. I've said it before...it's during this process that you will find out what the machine and the dealer are able to accomodate.

I think this is a serious issue. I have had to tighten my bolts (3) times during the period that I've owned it. Twice several bolts had completely fallen out and the rest were loose by atleast three bolt revolutions. Mine is a 7275 with 700 plus hours. Would think they should have aleast a lockwasher under the head.

With regard to other issues you may want to describe to them is:
1. Almost everybody has trouble with interlocks that prevent the starter from turning over. Mine is the rear PTO; you have to jiggle the PTO handle to get it to start. It has been serviced several times, it works better for a while than acts up again.
2. The fuel lines rub against one another as it is routed along the frame body. Eventually, you get "Old Faithful".
3. They should offer one more seat position hole for guys 6 ft. tall.
4. They should reposition the loader hand valve or cover it with soft rubber as I have done to save my right knee cap when driving over rough terrain.

Not knowing the age of the Maverick in question, I assumed it to be one of the older ones (early/mid-nineties vintage?) when I understood Mavericks to be rebadged Jinmas. Guess more clarification of the bloodline is in order before coming up with a definitive parts source.

The tractor in the add is a Mahindra C-series. It did lift the other two units. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it!

I had a stick get into the HST cooling fan under the operator deck on my BX. Luckily there was no damage, just a blood-curdling sound. Also had one pull on a dangling electrical cable which loosened the main fuse. That caused me not to be able to turn off the engine because the fuel shut-off solenoid wasn't getting power! I taped the heck outta the fuse and secured the cable better to prevent the issue in the future. I was kinda surprised about the lousy cable routing and lack of underbody protection, but they're all like that I guess.

Maybe somebody has a wiring schematic. The safety system on my Ford wires the TX and PTO switches in series with the winding of a safety relay. The switches are closed in the disengaged and neutral positions. On this type system, the relay can't close if either switch is open, which locks out the starter.

I think the design used in my Ford is fairly common, but it doesn't have a seat switch or fuel solenoid. Jumping the starter takes the safety relay out of the system. If a switch were faulty, jumping it should allow the starter to engage. A shorted switch or wiring might show continuity in both PTO positions but still not engage the relay and jumping it may not work. In that case it'd likely blow a fuse. I don't know how the indicator light is wired but I'd check all fuses. It's real tough to troubleshoot w/o a wiring schematic.

The HST is addictive, and yes, even smaller units are capable of removing things in their path. I put one of the lower arms of the 3-point right through the side of the man-hole riser for my septic tank. Oops! I got carried away while manuvering back and forth around obstacles.

I have a John Deere 855 4x4 with front loader, box blade and post hole digger(with auger....18").<br>
With under 130 hrs. New looking. Never seen rain. Gets waxed more than my car. I have all the paper work for everything and 3 different manuals.<br>
Nothing wrong at all with it.<br>
What the price I should ask for it???
