I have a Taishan 254 4wd (2cy diesel 295T) in need of an rear oil seal in the motor need parts help

We have several machines that have bucket forks, mostly like the one in my picture # 3 on a full-size TLB.

The big drawback with that style of fork as opposed to the fork-only adapter is that the bucket blocks your vision of the object you want to pick up to the point that either you need a person to spot for you, or you have to use the 'Braille method' (bump means stop).

There is also a secondary problem of having a further reduced lift capacity because the load is that6 much further out in front.

With my TC33D and FEL, weight is a factor in performance, especially in "Hi or III'rd" range. While I don't have any problem starting out or going up inclines in "Hi" with an empty machine and the FEL and ballast box attached, I do see a MAJOR difference with the bucket fully loaded. So I suspect in "Hi," you are close the limitations of the machine empty, add in some weight in the bucket, and you are pushing it's limits.

I doubt "hi" is intended to be used for much other than highway transport. I find I use range "II" for most projects and on occasion will run out of power there as well. I have yet to run into a situation where range "I" didn't supply superior power...even to the point of being downright scared I could damage my machine!

It's funny how things go around in a circle.

A few years back everybody thought electronics were going to be the way of the future for vehicles, and I suspect in cars that lead an easy life, they are probably a good thing. In a truck that works for a living however, it's another story, especially if some of that work involves plowing snow doing ice control.

We ran F-350's for years, but recently, with the price of trucks edging up every year, we have been switching to 3 ton trucks. They are still mostly built under the 'manual control is better' and 'it has to go a million miles' philosophies. The latest one, a Hino conventional is a dream to drive, rides just like a 1 ton dually, with a 220hp. inline 6 coupled to an Allison 5 spd (with over-drive) it really gets up and goes too. I put a 12' aluminum dump box on it. It was within a few thousand dollars of a new F-350 in price, but is twice the truck.

When I first bought my trailer, I had to re-do the trailer plug because of a simmilar problem.

The ground on the trailer was terrible, and had several of the "clip" splicers in it. These things are the worst thing ever invented!! Even the best trailers have these stupid things on them. My trailer is now 10 years old, and the only wiring problems I have ever had centered around these "clip" splicers.

Snowmobile trailer also needed the ground redone when it was new (way back when).

It is possible to tow a tractor on a red Radio Flier if you want. That doesn't make it safe. Having family members in the State Patrol I hear stories all the time about these "lumberyard" utility trailers. Yes they are cheap, but in the case of towing several THOUSAND pounds of tractor, 13" wheels and light construction are not up to the task. If this rig fails going down the highway, you may be fine in front, but when the wreck hits the road what happens to the people behind you? You will be liable for them too.

I can only assume he was thinking he might not find a 4310 and was trying to get me to upgrade to a more expensive machine. Yet there are 4300 hold-overs down in Missouri that have zero hours on them still. I'd definitely upgrade to a 4410 if the price was right.

A lot of the old Olivers had the serial number plate as well as model just in front of the seat on the bottom of the dash where it meats with the transmission.

Seeing that you have a host of other uses in mind, I would buy the best overall machine, not necessarily the one that is best for hillside use. DON'T mow sideways on a hill. Back directly up the hill instead. Make sure you are in 4WD, and don't accidentally slip into neutral. That is the only "stable" configuration on a hill. And... it it feels unsafe, it probably is. IMHO, go for the Kubota shade of orange. Nothing against Kioti, but Kubota has more dealers out there for support, and legendary reliability.

Further to Chief's comment: The line probably should be changed if there's any chance that it or the fitting were damaged. Oil under high pressure from pinhole leaks or ruptured lines can cause serious injury. <br>

I can't see how a line could be pulled off without damaging something unless it was some type of quick-connect fitting. Ordinarily a quick-connect fitting wouldn't leak much oil on the ground unless it too was damaged. I'd be aware that a leak may not be apparent unless the system is lifting big weight and a failure such as a ruptured line could happen a long time from now. What ever you do, please test for leaks with a piece of cardboard rather than your fingers, and wear eye protection. You can't necessarily see a pin hole leak.<br>

Google smart ads are working. I hopped in here and see three ads for cell phone boosters. Boosters do have to receive something before they can boost it though. A 70' tower might work here since the cell tower is fairly close. A fancy antenna wouldn't be needed but a booster probably would help make up for line losses to the tower.

I'm getting the sense that a home repeater may be something that's privately owned but hooked in to a network by land-line. That sounds like an interesting idea but I don't think the cell companies here provide the service. Sounds like one would provide service to passerby's as well and that should help a cell company too provided their cells in the area aren't already over-loaded.

A private repeater might pay for itself in our case since the one service we do get is routed outside the Bell long distance area so we pay tolls for almost everything. I can call free for several hundred miles to places I never call though--aggravation. Wonder how long it'll take for satellite phone costs to come down?

I just ordered the same setup to a T, DX33, loader, 60" BH, 60" box scraper. Dealer also added free bucket hooks 50hr service, offered to fill the r4's but I'll wait untill I drive it before I have them filled.
total 18,700. not to bad great deal has a very good reputation.
